Step 3. Build a Market

The market is also necessary to attract nomads; acts as a resource distributor for your citizens, where they can obtain various items such as food and firewood for their homes. Your citizens will no longer have to travel far to get to supplies or storage and get the resources they need.

  • A market has a size of 90 spaces; every citizen will prefer to procure resources from the market rather than having to move.
  • To build a market, you will need 58 Wooden Boards, 62 Stones, 40 Iron, and the required work is 100.
  • The more vendors you employ at the Market, the more food, tools and materials they will distribute.

To build a Trading Post you need 62 Wooden Boards, 80 Stones, 40 Iron and the work required is 140. You need to build the Trading Post in a spacious river with access to the map border for the merchants to reach it

Step 1. Build a Hospital

At this point you have to build a hospital for your people as soon as possible; nomads could carry diseases from other parts of the world and these diseases could spread and cause the death of your citizens. If you have an herbalist, the herbs that are harvested will be most effective.

  • To build a hospital, you need 52 Wooden Boards, 78 Stones, 32 Iron and the required work is 150. Each hospital can accommodate 30 patients.
  • You can only assign 1 doctor.
  • If you have a large population, it is advisable to build more hospitals.

Step 2. Raise Farmers

Since Nomads are ignorant, they will drag your educated citizens into ignorance as they enter your city, making production slow and unproductive. Also, adding nomads to your city causes food supplies to go down as there are more adults.

  • To avoid famine, build more farms and assign nomads to them to work as farmers. Make sure you fill any vacant jobs to get faster and better crops.
  • If nomads have children, you don't have to worry about them. The children will go to school like everyone else.

Step 3. Increase Fishermen

If you still have unemployed nomads at this point, build fishing ponds and have them catch fish. Citizens who work as fishermen, unlike farmers, will not stop catching food even during the winter.

  • To build the Fishing Docks, you need 30 Wooden Boards, 16 Stones and the required work is 45.
  • As with the trading post, you can build fishing ponds in nearby water basins. But as the years go by, the fish could become extinct.
  • Polite workers are preferable to work as builders, woodcutters and gatherers as they produce more, compared to ignorant citizens.

Step 1. Check the Population

As your city grows, more nomads with more than 30 people will arrive. Remember, every population you add to your city increases the demand for food and firewood; you will also need new homes for which you will need materials.

  • Welcoming nomads will allow you to fill vacant positions, but the downsides are that they could lead to illness and reduce your resources. Decline any request if you are unsure.
  • If you really want to increase the number of people in your city, prepare the resources first. Collect more wood planks, collect more firewood, increase the production of food, tools and clothing.

Step 2. Build a Chapels or Tavern

Happiness is important in maintaining a very large city; building a chapel or tavern will help maintain happiness. Unhappy citizens work less and produce less material or food. However, a tavern requires beer to work effectively, it can be created using products from orchards, such as apples, pears and cherries.

  • To build a Chapel, you need 50 Wooden Planks, 130 Stones, 3 Iron and the required work is 150.
  • To build a Tavern, you need 52 Wooden Boards, 12 Stones, 20 Iron and the required work is 90.
  • You can get seeds for fruit plants from merchants. If you don't have any fruit plants, you can also make beer using wheat.

Step 3. Build a Graveyard

Now that you have a large population, the old citizens may die and at the same time their death will make other family members miserable. Family members may stop working and return to normal happiness after a couple of years.

  • Villagers living near a cemetery gain a happiness boost.
  • To build a graveyard you need 1 Stone per unit area. The maximum size of the cemetery is 20 units.
  • The gravestones may degrade and disappear after about a generation, allowing the places within the cemetery to be reused.

Advice

  • It is important to keep the Pension empty for emergencies during natural disasters. These disasters can happen randomly, from a house fire to a tornado that can destroy all vegetation and buildings.
  • The stone houses are useful during the winter. They reduce the use of firewood and provide more heat than wooden houses.
  • Exchanging items for firewood gives you a higher value than you would get with wooden boards or other resources you own. Remember, the number of merchants working in your trading post determines how quickly your inventory will be replenished with the goods you want to use to buy.
  • It may take a while for the nomads to appear, but when they do, you will receive a notification.
  • It is best to build the market away from the warehouse and inventory. Houses should be built around the market to make its use effective.
  • The town hall can be used to accept or reject citizens or nomads who arrive from time to time, which is why it is important to build the town hall as soon as possible. Remember that nomads can increase your city's workforce if it can provide them with accommodation and basic necessities.
