This tutorial shows you how to make a very effective antenna for your WiFi adapter, in case you have lost the standard one that came with your device. Note: This procedure has only been tested with the D-Link DWL-AG530 WiFi adapter, so the results obtained may differ slightly. This tutorial is intended to help you build an antenna for your WiFi adapter that uses an 'RP-SMA' connector, but it can be modified and adapted to your needs.
Steps

Step 1. Get a large paper clip, Bic pen and electrical tape

Step 2. Unfold the paperclip to get a long, well-stretched wire

Step 3. Bend one end of the paper clip approximately 2 cm long to 90 degrees

Step 4. Remove the ink cartridge from the Bic pen
Cut a small piece from the top, about 1.5-2 cm long. Be careful: if the pen is new it could create some mess caused by the ink.

Step 5. Insert the bent end of the paper clip into the tube from the previous step
Make sure that the end of the paper clip does not come out of the tube, it should remain about 1-2 mm from the end.

Step 6. Take a lighter, or other heat source, and very carefully heat the tube so that the plastic molds around the metal clip, adhering perfectly

Step 7. Wrap the metal paper clip with electrical tape to avoid excessive interference with the WiFi signal

Step 8. Now insert the end of your antenna equipped with a 'Bic connector' into the relevant pin of your Wifi adapter connector
Press carefully so that the metal clip and the connector pin touch, or rather make sure that they overlap.
