Earning 100 euros in just one week is not easy. You probably wouldn't be able to scrape together that amount with just one chore, but you could do more than one and reach your goal without any problems. So, accumulate all the free time you have and start thinking about what to do. Which of the following ideas sound feasible and profitable to you?
Steps
Step 1. Ask the neighbors how you can help
There are a million things you can do to help them, especially if they are elderly. If your parents give you the okay, go knock on their doors and ask, of course with a good idea in mind. Sometimes people don't know what they need. Here are some ideas you can get started with:
-
Wash the car.
- Mow the lawn.
- Remove the weeds.
- Create the compost.
-
Walking the dogs.
- Weekly tasks, such as taking out the trash.
Step 2. Take advantage of every season:
winter, spring, summer and autumn. If you live in an area that has well-defined seasons, use them to make money!
- In the summer you can mow lawns and sell lemonade.
- In the fall you can collect the leaves.
- In winter, you can shovel snow or hang Christmas lights.
-
In the spring you can help plant the plants.
Pretty much anyone who hates shoveling snow, mowing the lawn, picking leaves - they'll probably be happy if someone offers to do it for them
Step 3. Offer to babysit for pets or children
If you are a reliable guy, go for it! If you have a younger brother or sister, you will likely have all the experience you need.
Let your neighbors know that you are almost always available and would like to take care of their children / pets while they are out of town or on vacation. Do they have your phone number?
Step 4. Also try to propose yourself as a keeper
Since you live next door, you can easily walk to the neighbors' house and guard it while they're away. They can leave without worries knowing their home is safe. Let's talk about easy work! (Just as long as you don't throw parties without them knowing!)
Step 5. Propose for newspaper delivery
If you have a bicycle, it might be the right job for you. All you have to do in the morning is get up, get the newspapers from the depot, get on your bike and go to deliver them!
If the place has already been assigned in your area, contact the newspaper in your city and ask for information: they may have other things to propose or warn you when the place is vacant
Step 6. Use the holidays to your advantage
In addition to the seasons, take advantage of the holidays!
- Hang or remove the Christmas lights.
- Welcome pets or children into your home when your neighbors have vacation plans.
- Make some DIY items to celebrate the current holiday. Grow pumpkins in October or roses for Mother's Day, you could make some chocolates for Valentine's Day - What next party will you enjoy?
Step 7. Do the housework
Does mom ask you to vacuum? Does Dad need you to water the garden? Make a list of chores you could do during the week and write the price next to each one.
- Chores that require more time and energy should have a higher rate. At the bottom of the sheet, write down the day by which they will be carried out and how much money you ask to complete them in time.
- Then, get your parents to sign the agreement. If they disagree with the prices, negotiate. When you both sign, it will mean that you agree to do them all - there is no going back!
Step 8. Recycle
A great solution for the environment and your wallet! Look for empty bins and plastic or glass bottles and exchange them for cash. Remember, this type of service is only present in some cities. If there is where you live, take advantage of it! It will certainly not be a mountain of money, but it will accumulate over time.
Visit the neighbors (people you know) and ask if you can have some of their jars and bottles. Explain that you are looking to make $ 100 in a week and that you need their help to get the final result. They may even have more ideas
Step 9. Talk to your parents about it
Housework doesn't have to be the only reason to reward yourself. They may also offer you some money for good grades in school or other things you do well. Talk to them! Ask them what you could do to earn a cash reward!
Some parents pay for good grades, some pay if you stop eating candy, some if you throw away your old toys, so… ask! They might come up with new ideas
Step 10. Organize a garage sale
If your parents, relatives or neighbors have a garage sale, join them! Ask if you can have a part of a table and take the money from the things you can sell. Now the question is, what could you sell?
Don't try to sell your artwork, one-armed, one-eyed dolls, or the Legos you threw in the blender. Nobody would buy these things. Only look for items in good condition that you no longer use. Someone else could use them
Step 11. Try selling your old stuff in thrift stores
There are several that accept goods on consignment and, once sold, they would give you the due part of the proceeds. So, gather the things you no longer need, ask Mom to accompany you, and go to the nearest thrift store.
Consider selling used items on eBay or similar portals. Have you ever received double gifts or wanted to get rid of new but useless items?
Step 12. Give reps
If you are good at math, science, English, history or any other subject, why not give tutoring? Everyone wishes they had good grades. Spread the word and offer tuition at minimal rates - and prove you have good grades, of course. Talk to your parents or teachers about your idea.
In this way you will increase your degree of culture! Teaching others helps to better imprint the concepts in the mind. If you are successful, consider it an investment for the future
Step 13. Start cooking, farming or crafting items
To do this you will need a certain degree of creativity and dexterity. But if you have these qualities, why not try? Consider a couple of the following ideas:
- Can you make cinnamon buns? Ask your neighbors if they would like to receive cookies every Sunday. People living alone might love this service so they don't have to cook!
- Do you have a garden? Start cultivating your vegetable garden!
- Are you good with wood, can you sew or build objects in general? Homemade things are very much in vogue. You will be able to try to sell your creations!
Step 14. Focus on the things you are particularly successful at
Maybe you are able to do something that is difficult for others. What can it be? You could turn your skill into cash | Here are some ideas:
-
Can you sew? Make clothes (or accessories, such as belts, pins, lanyards, rubber bands, clothespins, etc.) for adults and children.
-
Are you a computer expert? Teach adults who are still lost in front of a computer.
-
How about art? Christmas decorations, or any other party decorations, are the right way to start.
-
Do you play or sing? You could play for small parties, at church or for events organized by the local community. Especially if you offer low rates!
Advice
- Offer fair prices for your services. If they are too high you will not have customers, but if they are too short they will not make you enough money.
- Make sure everyone agrees on the payment. You don't want to be ripped off!
- Get paid to wash the car and adjust the rate depending on the size of the car.
- Ask your parents before doing these things.
- You won't have the money for a poorly done or unfinished job!
- If you get a tip, add it to your other money.
- If you make a flyer, make sure you can get the card for free. If instead you have to pay it, be careful how many you will make, otherwise you will spend more money than you earn!
- You could become a children's animator, but make sure you learn some magic or juggling tricks.
- Sometimes parents don't pay for housework. Don't be mad and keep trying.
Warnings
- Don't pile on too many jobs. You may not be of your word.
- While you work, you don't want to get your good clothes dirty, so wear old clothes, which you can wash and use later.
- Don't do anything dangerous! Always be careful, especially with strangers.
- Don't talk to strangers without a parent present.
