Even if the temptation is strong, you shouldn't rush to squeeze every pimple as soon as it appears; if you do this before the pimple is ripe, you will experience a lot of pain and risk leaving unsightly scars. With a little patience and a few tricks, you can pop pimples perfectly, safely and painlessly.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Squeeze the Pimple without Pain
Step 1. Know when it's ready to be crushed
Do not try to break a pimple that is in the deep layers of the skin, which causes pain, is red or shiny; wait until a hard, white bump forms on the surface. White matter is pus that has accumulated near the surface of the epidermis.
If you go ahead of time, bacteria and dirt will get into the pores making it worse or causing painful infections
Step 2. Apply emollient lotion the night before
Coat the blemish with an aloe vera gel to soften dry, crusted skin, making removal less painful and easier the next morning.
Avoid oily products, such as petroleum jelly, as they clog pores and cause more problems
Step 3. Wash the area with warm soapy water
Clean the area around the blemish with a cloth and soap, taking care to use warm water to dilate the pores and make the operation easier.
- The best time is immediately after a very hot shower, during which the steam dilates the skin pores.
- If your hands get dirty, sanitize them again before continuing to prevent infections.
Step 4. Wrap your hands in clean paper towels
Your hands can transmit bacteria and dirt, which in turn makes acne worse if you don't take action. By simply placing a paper towel between your fingers and the blemish, you should ensure sufficient protection.
Most dermatologists use latex gloves for this purpose; if you own them, you can wear them
Step 5. Gently press along the edges of the pimple until it bursts
With your hands protected by the handkerchief, apply light pressure around the boil, so as to let the pus out; you don't have to hurt yourself, just drain the infected surface material.
Don't use your bare fingers or fingernails, as you can contaminate the wound with bacteria
Step 6. Once the pus stops coming out, do not apply further pressure
If the material is not drained by pressing lightly, do not force it.
Step 7. Wash the wound with soap and water
Wipe away purulent residues with a damp cloth, then apply an antibacterial cream to avoid infections.
Step 8. Never try to remove it deeply, squeeze a red one or squeeze out the pus from the underlying skin layers
In all these cases, the imperfection is not ready to be crushed; if you persist, you could prolong the infection by causing hard cysts to form that can only be removed by a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon.
Method 2 of 3: Treat Pimples with Heat
Step 1. Use heat and humidity to get rid of pimples without squeezing them
You can force the deep pus to rise to the surface and get rid of it without applying pressure. This method takes some time, but does not carry the risk of scarring. The steam and very hot water carry the pus to the surface layers of the skin and eventually remove it.
Step 2. Get a clean towel and wet it with the hottest water you can handle
Squeeze it to remove excess moisture.
Step 3. Place the warm washcloth on the pimple and hold it in place for 5-10 minutes
If it gets cold, reheat it with water and apply it again.
Step 4. Repeat this process every 1-2 hours or until the pimple breaks on its own
You may need to massage the skin with the cloth. In some cases, the blemish opens on its own without any pain, while in others the body is able to defeat the infection, returning the skin to a normal and intact state.
Step 5. Spread antibacterial cream on the area to prevent the boil from re-forming
Once the blemish is gone, clean the skin and protect the wound with an antiseptic ointment.
Method 3 of 3: Preventing Pimples
Step 1. Wash your face every night
Pimples are caused by dead skin cells, dirt and bacteria that enter the pores and trigger a small infection. Gently wash your face every night using soap, water, and a washcloth. by doing so, you keep your skin healthy and flawless.
Step 2. Hydrate your face
The dry and cracked epidermis favors the formation of imperfections. After washing, apply a moisturizing lotion to promote health and cleanse the pores.
Emollient products that contain oils can make the situation worse, because the fatty ingredients stay on the skin and clog the pores
Step 3. Try a face mask
You can find a wide choice in pharmacies and well-stocked supermarkets; those with tea tree oil, clay or witch hazel reduce the skin inflammation that causes painful pimples.
Step 4. Ask your dermatologist for advice on acne medications if the problem persists
There are many medicines, creams and lotions designed specifically to control acne disorders or completely resolve them. For example, some doctors prescribe birth control pills because it limits the action of the hormones that cause pimples to break out; talk to your dermatologist or family doctor to find the best solution for your situation.
Advice
- Wash your hands after the procedure and apply acne cream to the freshly squeezed pimple.
- If the boil is surrounded by a red area, apply pressure to the edges.
- Apply an egg mask to narrow the pores and make the pimple smaller.
- Do not use the mask more than once a week, otherwise the skin will dry out.
- Apply a warm, damp washcloth to your face for 2-3 minutes before squeezing the pimple.
- Beat 2 egg whites and 750 grams of sugar with a whisk, apply the mixture to the pimple for 5 minutes once a day for three days, after which the pimple should disappear
Warnings
- Make sure the pimple is ready to pop (the top is white).
- If the pimples are deep, hard, or very painful, see a dermatologist.
