When you think about exercise, your list of areas to tone up probably doesn't include the neck area. However, learning to tone relaxed neck skin with daily facial yoga exercises can give you a younger, healthier, more attractive appearance. Many of the proposed facial yoga exercises can be adapted to your needs, and performed in any desired place.
Steps
Step 1. Lift your lower lip like when you pout
Hold the position for a few seconds. Now lower your jaw while continuing to keep your lower lip raised, and your face still. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
You can repeat this exercise numerous times a day
Step 2. Sit in a chair and keep your back straight
Slowly, tilt your head back until your gaze is facing the ceiling. Keep your lips closed but relaxed. Pucker your lips as if you wanted to kiss the sky. Exaggerate the kissing position and hold it for a few seconds. Do 10 repetitions of the exercise.
This exercise can also be repeated several times throughout the day. You should feel tension along the neck and lower side of the jaw
Step 3. Standing, keep your back straight and your arms soft at your sides, lower your shoulders
Put on a frown and hold the position. Breathe deeply through your nose. Slowly, turn your head looking over your left shoulder. Hold the position for several seconds. After that, repeat on the other side.
- If done correctly, this exercise allows you to feel a stretch under the chin and on both sides of the neck.
- Repeat the exercise on each side, 10-15 times, and do one set twice a day.
Step 4. Turn your head to the right as far as possible while maintaining a comfortable position
Simulate the chewing movement of a chewing gum, do it about 20 times. Repeat on the other side.
- When done correctly, this exercise stretches the muscles of the jaw, chin, front and side of the neck.
- A variation of the exercise: perform the chewing gum movement while tilting your head back and looking up at the ceiling.
Step 5. Lie on the ground, with your arms folded and hands aligned with your shoulders
Lift your torso into a C with your body and bring your chin outward. Hold the position for several seconds and then repeat.
If you are comfortable with yoga, being able to do the 'upward dog' pose should be straightforward
Step 6. Look up at the ceiling and tilt your head back
Stick your tongue to the palate and swallow. Tilt your head to the right and swallow, then tilt it to the left and swallow again. Repeat 4 times in each direction.
- If you want this exercise to best tone the relaxed skin of your neck, keep the tongue firmly attached to the palate during the entire execution of the movement.
- Performing this exercise may be difficult, so relax and simply try again if you don't succeed on the first try.
