Whether you're getting ready for Halloween or taking part in a themed party, this article will quickly transform you into a real gangster!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: First Method: Old-time Gangster
Step 1. Dress formally
In the 1920s and 1930s, gangsters dressed quite smartly. A typical outfit included a black, gray or pinstripe suit and a tie. Use a simple color scheme; stick to black, white, gray or brown.
- If you don't have a jacket, put on a vest and roll up the sleeves of your shirt.
- Wear a white shirt with a black tie or a black shirt with a white tie.
- Wear a pair of black or brown dress shoes.
Step 2. Choose a hat
Look for a black, white, gray or pinstripe felt hat (known as a borsalino or fedora). Traditionally, criminals used to wear a black hat with a white trim, or a white hat with a gray trim.
Make sure the hat matches the dress. As before, use neutral colors like black, white, gray and brown
Step 3. Look for a fake gun
In game or costume shops. If possible, paint it black.
Step 4. Don't forget the cigar
In old movies, criminals, gangsters, and other "bad" characters are often portrayed smoking a cigar. You won't need to smoke them, take it with you to add authenticity to your costume.
Method 2 of 2: Second Method: Modern Gangster
Step 1. Wear loose fitting clothing
Unlike the stylish gangsters of the past, modern criminals wear loose, casual, multi-colored clothing.
- Look for a pair of baggy jeans in black or blue.
- Buy a poor quality oversized shirt or tank top (cinematic feature of the violent man in the family).
- Wear a puffy jacket or a huge hoodie.
Step 2. Use the ink
Gangsters are known to be full of tattoos. Choose to apply temporary tattoos or draw them yourself with a black pen.
- The biceps of many gang members depict the faces of their loved ones who have passed away.
- Draw tattoos on your face, neck and / or chest.
Step 3. Choose some eye-catching costume jewelry
Find long silver or gold chains and flashy pendants in the shape of a dollar, cross, or other symbol. Wear chains of different lengths and colors.
Step 4. Put on a snug wool bandana or cap
You can tie a bandana around your head or around your neck by tying it at the nape of your neck. Or wear a cap in a color of your choice, but with no designs or logos.
