This article is aimed at anyone who wants to take care of a child's biracial hair. If you don't take care of this hair in the right way, it could be seriously damaged. The good news is that they become gorgeous and perfectly healthy when you take care of them the right way! They can become beautiful and curly in an hour, and in another hour acquire a wonderful silky texture, all without using products other than gel or oil. What we're going to teach you in this article, though, may not work for all biracial hair types - remembering that being biracial doesn't necessarily mean you're half black and half white. It depends on the combination of races that you have in your genes.
Steps
Step 1. Use a good shampoo and conditioner
Step 2. Wash your hair at least twice a week
Otherwise, the hair can become either too oily or too dry.
Step 3. Once a month, apply the conditioner copiously
To do this, Wella Cholesterol is a perfect product. Dry your hair with a towel. Generously apply conditioner. Divide your hair into four sections and apply the conditioner evenly all over your head with a comb. Use a shampoo comb. Then put a plastic bag on your head. You can blow dry your hair or wrap it in a warm towel, but be careful not to burn anyone.
Step 4. Let your hair dry naturally, unless you are in a hurry
Again, section your hair into sections, preferably at least four. The hair will take several hours to dry. It is best to wash them and apply conditioner at night, so that the next morning they will be dry without using a hairdryer.
Step 5. Blow dry your still wet hair in the morning
Take one section of hair at a time and divide it into smaller sections so they are easier to manage. Dry your hair using minimal power until all mini-sections are dry. You will see that the hair will now be very shiny.
Step 6. If you want your hair to be straight, use a rounded brush to straighten it as you blow dry it
Also, if you want them to be smooth, use the hair dryer at maximum power. To make the hair look a bit wavy, use a very large rounded brush and apply anti-wrinkle oil. When using the oil on biracial hair, remember to use very little or it will eventually look like dirty hair that desperately needs washing. It is important to divide the hair into small sections for an optimal look.
Step 7. If instead you decide to keep the natural curly look, which is very beautiful on its own, then simply untie your hair and DO NOT comb or brush it
The hair will become bushy! Depending on the type of curls you are trying to achieve, you may want to spray your hair with a premixed water spray to make it less wavy.
Step 8. For a baby's hair, take care of it a little differently
A boy's biracial hair is as beautiful as a girl's, but less attention can be paid to it!
Advice
- It is very important to find a hairdresser who is already familiar with this type of hair. Many times, hairdressers think it's easy to care for and use African American hair techniques, only to realize they've made a mess. Find a capable hairdresser!
- When you have curly hair, don't wash it every day. Instead, mix 3/4 of hot water, 1/4 of any type of conditioner (Humectress is very good) and about 2 teaspoons of oil (baby oil or African hair repair oil) in a small 200ml spray bottle.. Shake vigorously and then sprinkle the contents all over your head. Then, comb your hair with your hands only. Fill the bottle again with warm water before adding more conditioner and oil.
- Try John Freida's products if you want your hair to stay curly. It also has a line called Waterproof, perfect for when you want to use the blow dryer on straight hair.
