Training at home has many benefits. Not only will you save time commuting to the gym, you will also avoid having to pay for the expensive membership. If you want to keep fit, plan some basic steps within your home workout, you will get successful results.
Steps
Step 1. Establish a training regimen and stick to it
Ideally, it would be best to plan for exercise at a given time of day so that you and your family can deliver on the serious commitment. Stay disciplined. Just because you are within the walls of your home, don't allow yourself to be lazy.
Step 2. Try to train when the house is empty, so as not to have any distractions
Avoid disrupting the normal daily routine of your family members; this will prevent children from trying to 'climb' you while doing push-ups.
Step 3. Put on some music and dress appropriately
Get ready as if you were going to the gym, it will be easier to stay motivated and get the best out of your workout.
Step 4. Recognize that your home has tremendous potential for your cardio exercises
You don't need the step if you have real steps right inside the house. Get on and off according to your daily routine. You can also jump rope in the yard, or in a sufficiently large room, or go up and down a step several times doing the step.
Step 5. Be creative and add strength exercises using what your home has to offer
If you don't have a lot of floor space, use the wall to do squats. Use a fitness ball to do push-ups or strengthen your torso, with a chair you can perform triceps dips. Place the ends of a sturdy broom on the surface of 2 objects placed at the same height and use it to perform pull ups from a lying position. Your home contains several possibilities for training. Look at your furniture and objects in search of an alternative potential.
Step 6. Keep a bottle of water on hand at all times, even when working out at home
Don't assume you're going to have a glass of water at the right time as you may not be as disciplined. Good hydration is essential for training. Replenishes the fluids lost during sweating and helps maintain energy.
Method 1 of 1: Practice Playing
Step 1. You can use the television to your advantage
If you're watching your favorite TV show instead of working out as planned, try to create a winning combination.
Make a list of the things that happen most often on your favorite show and combine them with exercise. As you watch, as soon as something indicated on your list happens, perform the corresponding exercise
Advice
- Before starting your workout routine, always do a proper warm-up, and do some cool-down exercises after exercising. Don't try to 'cut the curves'. Being in your home, you shouldn't be in a rush. If your exercise program is too long, correct it and make sure it still remains effective.
- Start gradually, don't throw yourself headlong into an over-the-top workout.
