Stick houses are an instant way to kill boredom. You can be as creative as you want and do anything with it. How do you know how to build one? All you have to do is follow this guide and you can make your own villa.
Steps
Step 1. Gather as many ice cream sticks as you can, or buy at the nearest art shop
Step 2. Use some sticks to make 4 squares
They will be the "foundation" of the house.
Step 3. Cover a square of sticks horizontally or vertically
It will be the back wall.
Step 4. To make windows, reserve a space for the window and build around it or cut the sticks and glue them to the space to make the window surface
Use two squares. It will be the side walls of the house.
Step 5. To make the door, reserve a long space in the center of the front wall
- Glue a few sticks together to form the door. Make sure that the size of the door matches that of the space left.
- Cut a sheet of approximately 2.5cm x 7.5cm. Fold the sheet in the center lengthwise. It will serve as the door hinge.
- Glue one side of the paper to the wall and the other to the door. Make sure the door opens towards the inside of the house.
Step 6. Glue the 4 walls together
Make sure that the walls with windows are parallel to each other.
Step 7. When making the roof triangular, make sure some sticks overlap so that they stick out a little from both sides of the house
- Form a triangle using two sticks. This will be the roof frame.
- Place several sticks horizontally to form a roof.
- Glue the frame and the roof together.
- Place the roof on the house.
Step 8. Finished
Advice
- Ask your parents if you can use hot glue. It dries in seconds, and if you find a gun with a cap, you will hardly risk getting burned.
- You can color the sticks if you want.
- Always have plenty of glue on hand for the house.
- Add a fireplace if you want.
- If you don't want glue to fall on you or spend so much time building the stick house, there are kits you can buy.
Warnings
- If you are cutting the sticks, they will leave sharp splinters that you could hurt yourself with if they prick you.
- It won't always come out perfect, but keep trying!
