Drawing a robot is easy if you follow the steps outlined in this tutorial.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Humanoid
Step 1. Sketch the structure that represents the figure and pose of the robot (each circle represents a joint)
Step 2. Use circles and three-dimensional shapes such as cylinders and cubes to sketch the necessary body parts
Step 3. Use your creativity to sketch the robot features on the previous draft to create your design
Step 4. Refine the sketch using a drawing tool with a smaller tip to add more detail
Step 5. Trace the outline of the sketch to finalize the design before coloring it
Step 6. Erase unnecessary lines to get a clean and well finished drawing
Step 7. Color the parts
Method 2 of 4: Mechanical Robot
Step 1. Draw a robot using different types of three-dimensional shapes (cubes, cylinders, wedges, etc.)
Step 2. Sketch additional details and parts such as joints, equipment and tools
Step 3. Refine the sketch using a drawing tool with the smallest tip
Step 4. Create the outlines by drawing on the final draft
Step 5. Erase unnecessary lines to get the final figure
Step 6. Color
Method 3 of 4: Simple Robot
Step 1. Draw the head and body
For the body make a simple box, then make an arc line above it, which will be the head.
Step 2. Draw arms and legs
To make the robot limbs, draw curved rectangles attached to the body.
Step 3. Make two circles on the head to create the eyes
Step 4. Add details to the robot
To do this as in the drawing of this tutorial, draw small circles in the upper and lower band of the body; will be the bolts.
Step 5. Draw lines on the arms and legs to complete the robot design
At the ends of the arms, make two curved rectangles for the hands.
Step 6. Delete the lines you no longer need
Step 7. Color the drawing
Method 4 of 4: More Elaborate Robot
Step 1. Draw quick sketches of robots
By only outlining the outlines you can put down more ideas and then decide which robot you want to draw. It could be a four-legged robot based on an animal, or a combat robot, or a simple domestic robot.
Step 2. Choose which of your sketches you like best
You could also combine elements from multiple types of robots.
Step 3. Draw the outlines
Start with simple shapes, keeping the design clear and clean.
