The Earth Blade is a strong and swift sword, capable of defeating almost any enemy with ease, but is rather difficult to obtain. Follow this guide to find out how to create it.

Steps

Part 1 of 4: Night's Edge

Step 1. Before you can even think about the Earth Blade, you need to get the Night's Edge sword

It is the strongest sword available before Hardmode, the most difficult mode in the game.

Step 2. Visit the Crimson Biome

Dig as much crimtan ore as possible. Alternatively, you can defeat the Eye of Cthulhu in a world with the crimson biome. You need 15 crimtan bars, corresponding to 45 crimtan ore, to build the Bloody Butcher, the first ingredient in Night's Edge. If there is corruption in your world and not the Crimson Biome, you can replace the Bloody Butcher with the Bane of Light.

Step 3. Visit the dungeon

First, you need to beat Skellington. Then, open the golden chests until you find the Muramasa.

Step 4. Visit the underworld

Dig the Hellstone Ore (you will need 60 units, plus 20 obsidian units). To craft the Hellstone Bars, you need a Hellstone Forge, which you can find in the brick constructions found in the Underworld. Craft 20 Hellstone Bars and build the Greatsword of Fire.

Step 5. Visit Corruption

You need 45 demonic ore to craft 15 demonic bars. With the bars, you can build the Bane of Light.

Step 6. Find the underground jungle

Once you reach that biome, kill the Hornets until you get 15 claws, then search for 12 jungle spores. Combine these items to create the Grass Sword.

Step 7. Join all the mentioned swords to a crimson or demon altar

You will get the Night's Edge, the first ingredient of the Earth Blade.

Part 2 of 4: Excalibur

Step 1. Defeat the Wall of Flesh and enter the Hardmode

Keep slaughtering Swamp Thing and Frankenstein.

Step 2. Combine True Excalibur, True Night's Edge, and a Hero's Broken Sword with an Orichalcus or Mitrilius anvil

Congratulations, you now have one of the strongest swords in the game!
