Parties are great fun for Sims. They can be a good way to make friends, cheer up, and help make their wishes come true. For a successful party, read further.
Steps
Step 1. Click on the phone and select "throw a party" or "throw a party at"
If it's in a different lot, select "throw a party to.." and click on the place where you want it to take place. You may pay more for exclusive access; this is the right option if you don't want someone to post at a public event. Make sure you find a good spot! I suggest the park, the pool or the nightclub (for those who use The Sims 3 Nightlife).
Step 2. Invite your boyfriend / girlfriend, best friends and acquaintances
Inviting colleagues can help at work. The more the better!
Step 3. Have some food served
You can cook it yourself or buy a buffet table. Remember that serving food on a buffet table costs 250 Simoleons; however, the buffets serve good quality food such as autumn salad, turkey and biscuits. If you want you can buy a bar and serve drinks or hire a bartender to do it for you (for those using The Sims 3 Nightlife).
Step 4. Also, try to have at least one Sim in your household who can play an instrument
When the guests arrive, you will make him / her ring. Most Sims like to listen to good music.
-
If you don't have any musically talented Sims in the family, you should buy a stereo. Put on some music for your guests to dance!
Step 5. First make sure your Sim is rested and in a good mood
It will help you prepare yourself a few hours in advance. You won't be able to throw a good party if your Sim is tired before even starting.
Step 6. Socialize with as many guests as you can
The more you talk to them, the more fun they will have.
Method 1 of 1: Alternative way, if you don't have Nightlife
Step 1. Use your phone to invite as many people as you can
Step 2. Choose a cute theme for your party
Step 3. Prepare for the guests
When they start coming, let them in. Brazenly flirt with any man or woman you walk past.
Step 4. Prepare a room for everyone to stay in in case they can't go home
If so, learn about your limits and those of other Sims. Someone will continue to celebrate indefinitely, some will leave after the first song.
Step 5. When most of the guests are tired or gone, turn off the music
You have to do this if you don't want to wake up and find everyone dancing again.
Step 6. Take a shower or bath
A bath is preferable because it relaxes your Sim more.
Step 7. Eat, if you need it
Eat a little extra in case you throw up.
Step 8. Sleep
This is essential if you don't want your Sim to die.
Step 9. When you wake up, you should clean up
This consists of:
-
Send everyone away, and I mean everyone. If they refuse, cast them out.
-
Repair any appliances, etc … that have been broken. You might need some money to do this.
-
Clean the rest.
-
Clean yourself. Take a bath, eat, read, sleep, whatever makes your Sim relax. Improve your mood. Have him go to the bathroom if he needs to throw up. Brush your teeth after vomiting.
Step 10. Don't worry about cleaning up before throwing a party, unless it's a secret
Other Sims won't notice.
Advice
- While not necessary, it helps to have things like a pool, games, TV, etc … to entertain guests.
- Different Sims live differently and say different things. Don't worry if one Sim says the party was awful and walks away, while another says the party was great and stays after the party is over.
