Steps
Step 1. Choose the size of the farm
The farm can be as large as you want.
Remember, however, it will take more supplies if the farm is very large
Step 2. Choose the land on which to build it
You have to choose the place where to build the farm.
- A flat surface is recommended although it is not mandatory.

There are endless places to do this, here are some tips.
- Underground. It is the most versatile place to do it, even if it takes the longest.
- In a field. There is no need for special items and it is easy to build even if it is not safe from mobs.
- Indoors. It is a special building dedicated to the farm. It must have a clear glass roof to let the sunlight in. You will have to build a building for this purpose, but the farm will be safe from the mobs.
Step 3. Build a perimeter around the farm
It will serve to keep monsters at bay.
Note: Build a very high perimeter or use a fence otherwise Mobs will easily bypass the barrier
Step 4. Light the earth with torches
This will prevent the mobs from infiltrating.
Step 5. Dig artificial canals
It will be used to water the crops.
Keep in mind that the water will only irrigate adjacent areas
Step 6. Fill the channels with water
Use the bucket to get the water.
Step 7. Plow the earth with the hoe
Crops grow only on plowed land.
Step 8. Plant crops
Right-click on the plowed land while holding the seeds in your hand.
Step 9. Wait for the crops to mature
Use bone meal to speed up the process.
Step 10. Collect the crop
Step 11. Resume cultivation
Collecting the crop produces seeds
Step 12. You now have a productive farm, enjoy
Advice
- You can get seeds by cutting tall grass.

You can grow many things besides wheat:
- Melons and pumpkins, melons are a good food source and require an empty space near the stem for growth.
- Carrots and potatoes are excellent for satisfying hunger.
- Livestock, easy and efficient to get food.
- Reeds are used for books and pies and need adjacent artificial canals for growth but do not need plowed land.
