This article explains how to add or remove a user from the list of closest friends on Facebook.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Add a Friend
Step 1. Open Facebook
The icon looks like a white F on a blue background and is usually found on the home screen.
If you are not logged in, enter the required information and tap "Log in"
Step 2. Tap ☰ at the bottom right
Step 3. Scroll down and tap Friends
Step 4. Select the user you want to add to the list of closest friends
This will open your profile.
Step 5. Tap Friends
It is located under the user's name.
Step 6. Tap Edit Friends List
Step 7. Select Close Friends
A blue check mark will appear next to the option.
Step 8. Tap Done
This user will become a member of your closest friends list.
Method 2 of 2: Delete a Friend
Step 1. Open Facebook
The icon looks like a white F on a blue background and is usually found on the home screen.
If you are not logged in, enter the required data and tap "Log in"
Step 2. Tap the search box at the top of the screen
Step 3. Type close friends and tap the magnifying glass on the keyboard to start the search
Step 4. Select Close Friends, which is the first search result
Make sure you select this option instead of the others.
Step 5. Select the friend you want to remove from the list
Your profile will open.
Step 6. Tap Friends
It is located under the user's name.
Step 7. Tap Edit Friends List
If the user belongs to the list of your closest friends, you will see a blue check mark next to this entry.
Step 8. Tap Close Friends to remove the blue check mark from the option
Step 9. Tap Done in the top right
This way you will have eliminated the user from the list of your closest friends.
