This article explains how to print an email on a computer running Windows or macOS.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using Gmail
Step 1. Open https://mail.google.com using a browser
You can print a Gmail message using any browser you have installed on your computer.
If you are not already logged in to Gmail, log in before proceeding
Step 2. Click on the message you want to print
It will open in the main panel.
Step 3. Click on the printer icon
It is located in the upper right corner. A new tab will be opened in the browser to proceed with printing.
Step 4. Select the printer
If you don't see it in the list, click on "Destination" and choose the printer you want to use.
Step 5. Click Print
It is a blue button located at the bottom right. The message will be sent to the printer.
Method 2 of 3: Using the Mail Application on a Mac
Step 1. Open Mail on the Mac
The icon depicts an eagle and is usually found in the Dock. You can also find it in the "Applications" folder.
Step 2. Click on the message you want to print
It will open in the right panel.
Step 3. Click on the File menu in the upper left corner of the screen
Step 4. Click Print
A dialog box will appear to proceed with printing.
Step 5. Select the printer
If you don't see the one you intend to use in the drop-down menu titled "Printer", click on it and select it before continuing.
Step 6. Click Print
The document will be sent to the printer.
Method 3 of 3: Using Windows Mail
Step 1. Open Mail on your PC
The icon is represented by an envelope and is usually found on the taskbar or in the "Start" menu.
Step 2. Click on the message you want to print
It will open in the panel on the right.
Step 3. Click ⋯ in the upper right corner of the message
Step 4. Click Print
The preview of the message to be printed will be opened.
Step 5. Select a printer
If you don't see the one you want to use, select it from the drop-down menu titled "Printer".
Step 6. Click Print
This gray button is located in the bottom left corner of the window. The message will be sent to the printer.
