This article shows you how to view Gmail emails that have been archived. Gmail allows you to archive the e-mail messages received in order to avoid that the e-mail inbox is filled with e-mails, complicating the management of e-mail correspondence. Archived messages will be deleted from your inbox and stored for you to consult in the future.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Mobile Devices
Step 1. Launch the Gmail app
It features a white envelope icon with a red "M" on it.
If you are not logged in to your Google account, you will need to provide your email address, its security password and press the button Log in.
Step 2. Press the ☰ button
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen. The main menu of the application will be displayed.
Step 3. Click on All messages
It is located at the bottom of the menu that appeared.
Step 4. Search for the archived email you need
Inside the folder All messages there are all the emails you have received, including all those you have archived.
- Any emails that are not marked with the "Inbox" label to the right of the subject represent archived emails.
- If you wish, you can search by tapping the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen and typing the sender's email address, subject or specific keyword into the field of text that will appear.
Method 2 of 2: Desktop and Laptop
Step 1. Log in to the Gmail website
Use the browser of your choice and the following URL https://www.mail.google.com/. If you are already logged into your Gmail account, your email address inbox will appear.
If you are not logged in to Gmail, press the button Log in located in the upper right corner of the page, then enter the e-mail address linked to your Google account and its security password.
Step 2. Expand the tree menu with which the organization of all Gmail emails is managed
This is the left sidebar of the Gmail UI, the first entry from the top is Incoming mail. All folders related to the organization of your electronic correspondence will be displayed.
Step 3. Choose the Other option
It is located at the bottom of the menu.
Step 4. Click on All messages
It is located at the bottom of the menu Other appeared. This will display the contents of the folder All messages.
Step 5. Search for the archived email you need
Inside the folder All messages there are all the emails you have received, including all those you have archived.
