The iPhone has its own default ringtone, but you can change it to any one you prefer. You can choose from those on the device, create your own, or buy new ones on iTunes.
Steps
Step 1. Tap the "Settings" app icon
You can find it on the main screen of the iPhone.
Step 2. Tap "Sounds"
It is in the same group as the "General" option.
Step 3. Press "Ringtone" in the options
It is located in the "Sounds and Vibration" section.
Step 4. Tap the ringtone you would like to use
When you select a ringtone it will be played as a preview. Read this guide for more information on how to add a custom ringtone. You can also click on "Store" at the top right of the screen to buy new ones.
Step 5. Save your choice
Click the "Sounds" button in the upper left corner to return to the sound menu and save your favorite ringtone.
Advice
- There are many ringtones available to select. You can also change other settings including the notification ringtone, messages, emails and everything in between.
- You can also select an alarm sound as a ringtone. These sounds are included in the list of ringtones. To find these sounds, scroll down the list to about halfway.
