Checking the remaining minutes is very important to avoid going over the cost of your usual tariff plan. This is a free call that will tell you exactly the minutes, messages and remaining internet connection data. This article is for checking minutes from a Sprint or Nextel mobile.
Steps
Step 1. Enter the number 611 or * 4
Be careful not to dial 911 by mistake! (Emergency number) This is a fairly easy number to remember, but still store it in your mobile phone book in case you forget it.
Step 2.’’’Follow the guided directions.
If you speak Spanish press 5. Otherwise, wait to enter your mobile number with the contact, for example (123) 555-5555. Then press the # key.
Step 3. Press number 3 for information on your rate plan and then press number 2 for the remaining minutes
Step 4. Listen to the information
You can write them down on a piece of paper, so you can better count the minutes during the month. The recorded information will be presented in the following order:
- Minutes remaining in general
- Minutes left to cell phones
- Minutes remaining for weekends (these are not important as they are unlimited after 7am)
- Residual connection data (for Nextel users only)
- Residual messages / multimedia
- Date of next payment (ex: Rate plan valid from 7 June to 6 July)
Step 5. Check your account information by pressing 5 when prompted
If your account is shared with other people, it is important to check the minutes for the entire account to know the remaining minutes. So you will know the minutes used and the remaining minutes.
Step 6. Alternatively, you can log in with your account information on your network operator's site
Warnings
- Always use the remaining minutes responsibly, based on your rate plan.
- Use the information roughly, as this does not include calls made within the last 24 hours.
