This article explains how to use mobile data to transfer documents, photos and other data to iCloud Drive. Note that this method only works for iCloud Drive, while it cannot be used with other iCloud sync or backup services.
Steps
Step 1. Open the "Settings" of the iPhone
The icon is represented by gray gears and is located on one of the Home screens.
It may also be located in the "Utilities" folder on a Home screen
Step 2. Scroll down and hit the iCloud option
It is located in the fourth group of options.
Step 3. Log into your iCloud account (if needed)
- Enter your Apple ID and password;
- Press the Login key.
Step 4. Tap iCloud Drive
Step 5. Swipe the Use Cellular Data button to activate it
It's at the bottom of the page. Documents, photos or other data stored on iCloud Drive can then be synchronized using mobile data when you don't have access to a Wi-Fi network.
- This setting can only be applied to iCloud Drive sections.
- Mobile data cannot be used to create or update iCloud backups.
