An authentic Roman toga is quite loose and you will definitely need help wearing it correctly. The toga was not aimed at the average Roman, who used to wear it with the same frequency with which we wear a tuxedo.
The toga can be of any color, with a few exceptions. All adult male citizens wore a white toga. Purple stripes were reserved only for senators and members of the equestrian order.
Steps
Step 1. A toga should be worn over a tunic, so you should start by wearing the tunic
Step 2. Fold the gown in half
You will get a rather long and narrow band of fabric.
Step 3. Begin by keeping your left arm straight at your side
Pull the left end of the toga over your arm so that it hangs softly at the front to about ankle height.
Step 4. Pull the toga over your back and under your right arm
On the back, the toga should be placed slightly higher than the waist.
Step 5. Continue on the front, draping the toga until it reaches the left shoulder and arm
Make sure that it forms elegant and harmonious folds on the chest.
