Step 1. Don't judge the school by the region it is in
The college can be excellent even if it is located in an apparently more degraded area. Try to look at the facilities of the institution; eventually, you can also spend a weekend there to experience first hand.
Step 2. Bring lots of clothing, underwear, hygiene products, and school supplies with you
You will definitely need it. Remember that you can't go home every day, so make sure you bring as many items as possible.
Step 3. Don't be closed with other people
If you can't make any friends, school life will be tough; living with other students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is very different from spending only class hours together. You will know their personality and you will probably not like all their characteristics, but you will have to learn to accept them; no one is perfect, but if you act stubborn you will get a bad reputation and no one will want to interact with you.
Step 4. Be careful with personal hygiene
Bathe every day and use a deodorant; no one wants to have a roommate who stinks.

Usually the school puts students of different nationalities in the same room; you can therefore learn about their culture and learn to respect those who are different from you.

- Since you don't have to take a train or bus every morning to school, as many of your classmates do, you may not be eligible for the student discount on public transport, which would actually be really handy when you have to travel.
