Have you organized a trip to Hawaii but don't have the faintest idea how to dress?
Remember, there is no winter in Hawaii.
Steps
Step 1. Go for comfortable, cool clothes
Prefer loose garments for sightseeing and for moments of relaxation. The trade winds constantly cross the entire state, regulating humidity. The speed of these winds is usually 24-40 km per hour. The "Kona" winds, on the other hand, are the exact opposite of the trade winds. They also regulate humidity by making the air "stale" and sometimes move volcanic fumes across the various islands. Check the weather forecast and inquire about specific terminology to decide which clothes to wear for the day.
Step 2. Wear a hat if you like
The hats are the centerpiece and are typical of the Hawaiian style. Get a baseball cap, straw hat, or visor. Avoid the classic tourist hats that will get you noticed.
Step 3. Wear an aloha print shirt, available in different designs and colors (plain or colored)
Some aloha shirts feature interesting logos and can even be a conversation starter at the beach bar. Brightly colored flower patterns are very popular and acceptable. Choose the material you prefer, for example, a blend of cotton and polyester is fine as long as you feel comfortable.
Step 4. Wear shorts to go anywhere
For men, it is advisable to wear cargo shorts; while women can opt for colorful capri-style or beaded shorts to stay comfortable on warm days and temperate evenings.
Step 5. Put on comfortable shoes or sandals
Loafers and slippers are very popular. Go for earthy or neutral colors. The red dust found on some islands, such as Kauai, will permanently stain white shoes.
Step 6. Choose your swimwear
Go for costumes that aren't too skimpy.
