You've decided you want to pierce your nasal septum! The safest way to do this is to go to a professional. However, there is a way to do this in your home, be careful though, it can be dangerous.
Steps
Step 1. Get the tools you need
You will need: needle, sterile gauze, disinfectant alcohol, earring and ice.
Step 2. Get ready
Use alcohol to disinfect the needle, earring and the part of the skin you are about to pierce.
Step 3. Numb her (optional)
Unless your pain threshold is particularly high, you will need to anesthetize the area so as not to experience excessive pain. Be aware that the tissues in the ice-numb area may harden and be more difficult to pierce.
Step 4. Pull the base of the nose down and place the needle where you want to pierce
(Make sure the part you are going to pierce is soft tissue, which is the part of the nasal septum that is made up of softer, thinner cartilage.) Then insert the needle all the way in.
Step 5. After removing the needle, quickly insert the earring
Step 6. Done
Advice
- Leave the needle in place for a few seconds.
- If you are not ready to feel pain when threading the earring after pulling out the needle, leave the needle in place for a few moments (no longer than an hour) to stretch the skin and prepare it for the piercing.
- Do not use a safety pin because the diameter is different from that of a piercing. Otherwise when you try to put the earring in the hole you will feel a lot of pain.
- Ask someone to stand by your side in case something goes wrong.
- Do not use inappropriate tools, they are not safe. Use a specific piercing needle.
- Do not hesitate.
- If possible, go to a professional, only then you can be sure that the perforation is done in the most correct and safe way.
Warnings
- Take care of regular cleaning of your piercing, otherwise it could get infected.
- This method is dangerous and not recommended.
