The foundation that you usually use can be lightened with the help of other cosmetics. The final result depends on the product used to perform the operation, so you have to make some attempts before being able to identify the right cosmetics and dose the necessary quantities.
Steps
Step 1. Determine what you need
If a foundation is too dark, you need to intervene by adding a lighter color, in order to reduce the pigmentation and make it more similar to your complexion. This means that you will have to use light colored cosmetics that can change the tone of the foundation and lighten it.
Method 1 of 2: Using a Hand Cream and Cream Eyeshadow
Step 1. Get your foundation
Carefully pour it into an empty container. First make sure that the container does not contain residues of other products.
Step 2. Pour two tablespoons of hand cream into the container
Mix it with the foundation until you get a homogeneous result.
Step 3. Pour half a teaspoon of cream eyeshadow into the mixture
Step 4. Mix the creams
Step 5. Add two pinches of compact powder
Stir it once more.
Step 6. Mix all the ingredients well
Once the process is complete, apply the mixture to your face with a foundation brush, using the same method as before. If while mixing the ingredients you find that the tone is not right for your skin, try changing the proportions of cream, eyeshadow, compact powder and foundation until you get the desired result.

Method 2 of 2: Using a Moisturizer or Body Lotion
Step 1. Get your favorite foundation
Pour it into a container. Use a small amount - you can always add more later.
Step 2. Get your favorite moisturizer or body lotion
Just remember that, to carry out the procedure, it is best to use a fragrance-free product.
Step 3. Pour in more moisturizer or body lotion than your foundation
Step 4. Mix the ingredients
Try to get a homogeneous mixture. Check the color: if necessary, add more lotion / cream or foundation.
Step 5. Apply as usual
Spread the foundation evenly on your face and determine if you have correctly dosed the ingredients or if it is preferable to change the proportions.
Advice
- If you prepare more than you need, store it in a clean, airtight container. Keep it in a cool, dry place.
- In the first method, if you deem it necessary, you can use a sunscreen instead of one for your hands. However, the hand cream mixes better and helps you get a lighter foundation.
