If an injury or trauma is the cause of eye pain or visual interference, close your eyes and place a cold compress on your eyelids while seeking medical help. However, if a small foreign body has landed in your eye, such as a particle of dirt, you may not need to see a doctor. The eyes are equipped with their own defense mechanism capable of dealing with the situation, help them by following the advice in the article.
Steps
Step 1. Gently close your eyelids and take a tissue
You may be able to increase tear production to help the foreign body escape. Allow your eyes to get wet so the tears can clean them. Don't rub your eyes, dab any tears gently as they slip out of your eye.
Step 2. Try to cry if the tearing does not naturally increase in an attempt to get rid of the dirt particle
Think of something that makes you sad to make crying easier.
Step 3. Blink several times
The reflex that makes us blink promotes the distribution of tears and pushes bacteria and foreign bodies out of the eye.
Step 4. Stretch the lower lid over the lower one and then blink several times
The lower rim lashes will have the ability to conduct dirt out of the eye.
Step 5. Remove dirt from your eyes using regular eye drops
Hold the eye wide open with your fingers and use the stream of liquid to remove dirt from the inside of the eye. Alternatively, you can use plain clean water.
Step 6. If none of these treatments remove dirt from your eyes, see a doctor
