Do you need to get rid of a commitment? Maybe you have a meeting or have to go to school … Whatever it is, pretending a stomach ache can be the solution. No one can prove that you are not bad, just show the symptoms and everyone will believe you, if you play your part right.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Showing the Symptoms of Belly Pain
Step 1. Talk about your symptoms
Tell everyone that your stomach hurts, then add that you had diarrhea and vomited. The other person cannot prove that you are lying if they have not been close enough to testify to your actions.
- If you are talking to your parents, you can say, "I had diarrhea and I threw up. I feel terrible."
- If you talk to someone you are not very familiar with, you can say, "I had stomach problems today. I feel very bad."
Step 2. Don't eat or drink
When trying to fake a stomach ache, bingeing on a salami sandwich is not a good idea. On the contrary, you should refuse to eat because of your health condition.
Step 3. Hold your belly
When your belly hurts, you often can't help but touch it or gently massage it; it is an unconscious attempt to relieve pain. If you try to fake a stomach ache, try gently massaging your belly, as if it hurts.
You can also moan with a grunt from time to time. However, avoid doing this if you find yourself at work
Step 4. Run to the bathroom
Even if you can't fake diarrhea or vomiting, you can pretend to go to the bathroom. Grab your belly or cover your mouth, then run to the bathroom. Try making gagging sounds or play them on your cell phone. Go to the bathroom several times in a short time, for example 2-3 times over the course of an hour.
At work it should be enough to run to the bathroom from time to time
Part 2 of 3: Faking Other Symptoms
Step 1. Pretend you have a fever
Fever often accompanies stomach problems, so you can try faking it to make your staging more believable. For example, you can warm up by placing a warm towel on your forehead or completely covering your head with a blanket for a few minutes.
You can also warm a thermometer by putting it under hot water or by drinking something hot before taking the temperature in your mouth
Step 2. Try to shiver
Often when you have a stomach ache, gastrointestinal problems are accompanied by chills, especially when you vomit. You can try shaking or crawling under the covers, as if you can't get warm.
If you are outdoors, try putting on a sweater or rubbing your arms as if you can't get warm
Step 3. Act like you have no energy
Stomach ache can really drain you, so you need to look after your appearance too. Pretend that you can't move and that getting up is costing you a lot of effort. You have to continue the staging all the time, because if you suddenly have a rush of energy, someone might get suspicious.
Part 3 of 3: Making Your Story Credible
Step 1. Tell one version of the story
If you say your stomach hurts in one place, don't point to others later. If you start changing your story, people will think you're not telling the truth.
Step 2. Ask if you can have something for stomach ache
One way to really convince everyone of your staging is to ask for medicine. You can say, "Don't we have anything for stomach pain? I'm not feeling well, I'm nauseous."
At work, you can try taking an antacid or ask a co-worker for medicine
Step 3. Take your time
In some cases, you just waste enough time to avoid a commitment. For example, it may be enough to miss the bus or start a boring dinner.
However, don't recover right away. You would end up having to attend the event you wanted to avoid anyway, simply arriving late
Step 4. Don't overdo it
A stomach ache is a common complaint, which can allow you to skip school or work. However, don't pretend that you have a serious illness that ends up in the hospital. For example, sharp pains in the lower right side of the abdomen may indicate appendicitis and you would undoubtedly end up in the emergency room.
Advice
- Pay attention to the recovery period. Don't wake up the next morning without any symptoms. Pretend to feel much better but still not in perfect health.
- If someone asks you "Are you telling me a lie?", Answer with "Why should I do this?".
- If you have to take medicine in front of someone, put it in your mouth (without swallowing it), then spit it out later.
