This article explains how to send a direct message to someone on TikTok using an iPhone or iPad. However, note that it is not possible to send direct messages to any account.
Steps
Step 1. Open TikTok and log in
The icon looks like a musical note on a black background. It is usually found on the Home screen. To log in, click on the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 2. Tap
It is the second tab at the bottom of the screen. A page will open with a search bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Type a username in the search bar and tap Search
The search bar is located at the top of the screen. Inside, write the user's name or username, then tap the blue "Search" button on the keyboard. The list of users who have this username or a similar name will be displayed.
Step 4. Tap the user's name or profile photo
Your profile page will open.
Step 5. Tap…
The button with three dots is located in the upper right corner. Tapping it will open a drop-down menu below.
Step 6. Tap Message
It is the last option in the drop-down menu that appeared after tapping the three dots icon. A conversation with the user in question will open.
Step 7. Write a message
Type it in the bar that says "Leave a message".
If you want, you can also add emojis by tapping the appropriate button on your device or by tapping the smiley face icon next to the message bar
Step 8. Tap the Send button
It is a blue key located in the bottom right corner of the keyboard. The message will be sent.
