Do you need to increase the Wi-Fi signal strength of your home network? Have you just had a can of beer and don't know what to do with it? Try to combine the two by using the can to increase the power of your Wi-Fi router, you will avoid the complicated and messy procedures required by the other possible solutions. The procedure described in this guide will increase the reception of your home network's Wi-Fi signal from your devices. Seeing is believing, at worst you will have wasted an empty beer can!
Steps
Step 1. Gather the necessary materials and tools
You can find the list of what you will need in the 'Things You Will Need' section.
Step 2. Wash the beer can carefully
Make sure the can is completely empty before washing!
Step 3. Remove the metal tab from the top of the can
Step 4. Cut the bottom of the can, where there are no openings
You can do this using a large utility knife or a knife that can be handled safely.
Step 5. Start cutting off the top of the can, the one with the opening, being careful not to remove it completely
It will need to remain connected to the body of the can via a small piece of metal to become the base of your Wi-Fi booster. You can help by looking at the image below.
Step 6. Now cut the body of the can lengthwise, in a straight line, following the free side, which is the one that is no longer connected to the base of the can
Step 7. Be very careful as you shape the metal body of the can, you will have to gently open it outwards, until it vaguely reminds you of the shape of a radar antenna
Also in this case, looking at the image below will help you.
Step 8. Mount your Wi-Fi repeater on your router
Insert the antenna of your router into the opening in the base of the can.
Step 9. Secure the base of the can to the router frame using tape or similar tool
Now the fateful moment has come, get ready to test your Wi-Fi connection and find out how reception has improved!
