No woman would want to have a camel toe, an embarrassing problem that occurs when clothes adhere to the pubic area creating a slit. It commonly happens with swimwear, tight jeans, leggings, and shorts. Thankfully, this style misstep can be avoided.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Choose the Right Clothes
Step 1. Wear clothes of the right size
Sure, you think tight pants or shorts flatter you, but if you overdo it they certainly won't.
- The camel toe is created when the clothes do not have an adequate seal. If the pants or shorts are too tight in the crotch area, you risk having this problem.
- Trousers or shorts that are too thin in the crotch area can also cause the same problem. Swimsuits that are too small tend particularly to create the camel's hoof. Choose the right size.
Step 2. Bring the right fabrics
Camel hoofs can be a problem with more stretch fabrics, such as track pants.
- Buy clothes that have a built-in lining in the crotch area, especially when it comes to sweatpants. This additional layer is designed to reduce embarrassing blemishes such as camel's hoof. Avoid clothing made of 100% synthetic stretch fabric.
- Avoid linen and polyester, especially if it's hot outside. They tend to cause camel hoof more.
Step 3. Choose dark colored clothes
Black or otherwise dark fabrics help to better hide the crack created in the crotch area.
- The garments you should avoid the most are those made of thin polyester and without any inner lining. Also avoid light-colored leggings: the camel hoof effect is guaranteed.
- The problem with white or beige fabrics (especially if it is leggings or anyway stretch pants without a lining in the crotch area) is that they leave almost nothing to the imagination.
Step 4. Choose the right leggings
They should be thick and dull enough that no underwear can be seen.
- Whatever your choice, don't use stockings like leggings. They are so transparent that you will have other problems besides the camel toe.
- Wear a long top or sweater over your leggings. This will hide the crotch area. You can also wear a tunic.
Method 2 of 3: Preventing Camel Hoof
Step 1. Put on your underwear
If you want to avoid the camel toe, underwear is essential. By not wearing it, you increase the chances of having this problem.
- This is especially true for particularly thin, stretch or light-colored fabrics. If you don't wear fine, unreinforced underwear, you'll have more of a problem.
- Wear thicker briefs. They are less likely to cause camel toe because they don't stick to intimate areas as easily. Heavier underwear is also more supportive and creates a harmonious effect.
Step 2. Buy clothes or underwear with multiple seams
Try to buy jeans, trousers, or sportswear that have various seams.
- For example, you could look for clothes with seams that form a V in the crotch area.
- Clothes that have a single seam running across the crotch area tend to cause camel toe more. This is because the fabric, which is softer, is more likely to slip into the private parts.
Step 3. Choose low-rise pants, especially those you use to train and classic jeans
The higher the waist, the more likely you are to have a camel toe.
- Before you buy a dress, try it on, fold up and sit in the dressing room to see if it gives you any problems. Avoid high-waisted jeans. If they cover the hips, they could cause camel toe (not to mention they can be uncomfortable and under-valued).
- Choose trousers that have a good fit on the hips. You have to avoid those who pull and whose fabric is piled on the private parts.
Method 3 of 3: Remedying the Camel's Hoof
Step 1. Put on a panty liner
If you have already gone out and noticed that you have a camel's toe, you can fix it immediately by putting on a panty liner. Many beauty pageant participants use this trick.
- Instead of wearing it vertically (as usual), have it adhere horizontally to your panties and tuck it around the crotch.
- Use the panty liner as if it were a band-aid.
Step 2. Pull the tissue away from your private parts
It seems like the simplest solution, but it is only a temporary remedy as the camel's toe may recur.
- Go to the bathroom or somewhere private and pull the fabric so that it loosens around your private parts.
- You may also want to lower the pants slightly at the waist to make them fit less against the crotch. If you can't find a solution, tie a sweater around your waist.
Step 3. Buy special inserts or panties for the camel toe
Whenever a problem arises, someone invents a solution. This also happened in the case of this imperfection.
- You can buy inserts similar to panty liners, but specifically designed to prevent camel toe. You can find several online.
- You can buy special briefs designed to prevent camel toe, which are mostly available online. Some are made of special materials that do not pile up on themselves, or have a triangular patch sewn onto the crotch.
- You can also find specific camel toe protectors that resemble male protective shells. Some are flesh-colored. Look for them online.
Step 4. Try using cardboard
If you don't have any special inserts or briefs on hand, you might want to cut a piece of construction paper and create a protection.
- You have to use it vertically. Cut it roughly considering the size of the crotch of the briefs.
- Then, lay the card under a panty liner. If it has wings, wrap them around the horse and fix it. It should have the same function as other types of protection and keep everything hidden. Alternatively, if you don't have a panty liner, you can unstitch the lining on the crotch of the panties and tuck the cardboard inside. At this point, mend.
Advice
- Leggings are among the main causes of the camel toe.
- Cheaper fabrics usually have less support. You get what you pay for.
