God speaks to us in dreams. Numbers 12: 6 (New Bible Version © 2010) The Eternal then said: «Hear now my words! If there is a prophet among you, I, the Eternal, make myself known to him in a vision, I speak with him in a dream. Genesis 40: 8 (New International Version © 2010) And they replied: "We had a dream and there is no one who interprets it to us". And Joseph said to them: "Do not the interpretations belong to God? Tell me the dreams, please."
Steps
Step 1. Keep a dream journal
Remember to write everything down in detail, even the minor parts, for example if an object passes from the left to the right hand. Numbers are very important as are colors and animals. Red symbolizes the blood of Jesus - the redemption of our sins, but also emotions such as anger, fury and hatred. Symbols in a dream can be negative or positive. The 2 means unity but also disagreement. Ecclesiastes 4:12 "And if one tries to overwhelm the one who is alone, two will stand up to him; a three-stranded cord does not break so quickly." So if you dream of two people attacking you it is a bad thing, but if you dream of two people assisting you the meaning of the two is positive. Matthew 18:19 (New International Edition © 2010) "And also in truth I say to you: If two of you on earth agree to ask anything, that will be granted to them by my Father who is in heaven". symbols, colors and animals is found in the Bible. Animals often represent emotions. There is the lion of Judah and the Devil is depicted as a roaring lion. It is up to the Holy Spirit to reveal what the lion implies in your dream (if it is negative or positive).
Step 2. Evaluate the emotions you felt upon waking up
You were scared, you felt lonely, etc. How did you feel overall? In what aspect of your life did you feel such emotions? Ask yourself if this is an answer to the question you asked God. God can give you the answers through dreams.
Step 3. Ask yourself what feelings you felt or what problems you were analyzing the day / evening before the dream
Step 4. Ask yourself if this dream represents the future or if it is based on past or future events
God can make you dream of an accident that happened in the past and hidden in your heart, which brings pain to your life and for which you can pray for it to pass.
Step 5. Find out if the dream is literal or symbolic
If someone is dying, it could be a literal invitation to pray to keep it from happening or it can symbolize someone you are cutting ties with.
Step 6. Ask yourself if this dream is about you or someone else
For example, if in the dream you are a spectator and you do not participate, it could be about another person.
