According to Hindu and / or Buddhist beliefs, the Chakras are vast (but limited) energy reserves of our body, which control our psychological qualities. There are said to be seven fundamental Chakras: four in the upper part of the body, which govern the functions of the mind, and three in the lower part, which govern instinct. These Chakras are so called:

The Root Chakra. The Sacral Chakra. The Solar Plexus Chakra. The Heart Chakra. The Throat Chakra. The Third Eye Chakra. The Crown Chakra.

According to Buddhist / Hindu teaching, the set of Chakras should contribute to the well-being of the human being. Our instincts should be allied with feelings and thoughts. Some of our chakras are usually not completely open (in the sense that they operate in the same way as when we were just born), but others are hyperactive or even almost closed. If the Chakras are not in balance, it is not possible to be at peace with oneself. Continue reading this article to discover the art of awareness of the Chakras, as well as a very reliable technique, invented to be able to open them.

Steps

Step 1. Opening your Chakras does not necessarily mean trying to calm the hyperactive ones

They will simply compensate for the inactivity of those closed. Once you can open them all, the energy will level itself in such a way as to restore its balance.

Step 2. Open the first Chakra (red)

Muladhara, of the Base, Center of the Root or Center of the Coccyx; located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the earth as an element and therefore is connected with our survival instincts and our sense of reality. This Chakra is based on being aware of one's physical being and feeling at ease in different situations. If open, it should make you feel well balanced, stable and confident. If you don't trust someone, you don't do it without a reason. One feels present in what is happening in the moment and strongly connected to one's physical body. If he is not very active, he easily tends to be taken by insecurity, nervousness, inadequacy. If he is too active, he tends to be greedy and materialistic. You flaunt an apparent security and are hostile to change.

  • Use your body and become aware of it. Do yoga, go for a walk, or do some manual work. These activities help to recognize your body and strengthen the Chakra.
  • Join the ground. It means trying to connect with the ground and feel it beneath you. To do this, stand up straight and relax, spread your feet wide, spread your shoulders and bend your knees slightly. Move your pelvis slightly forward and keep your balance, so that your weight is evenly distributed on the soles of your feet. So, drop the weight forward. Stay in this position for a few minutes.
  • After joining the earth, sit with your legs crossed, as seen in the image above.
  • Let the tips of the thumb and forefinger touch each other gently, in a relaxed pose.
  • Concentrate on the Root Chakra and its meaning, at the point between the genitals and the anus.
  • Quietly, yet distinctly, emit the “LAM” sound.
  • During all this time, let yourself go, with your thoughts still turned to the Chakra, its meaning and the impact it has or should have on your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are completely relaxed. You should be able to feel a "clean" feeling.

Step 3. Open the second Chakra (orange). Svadhistana, Sacral or Center of the Cross; located in the abdomen, a little lower behind the sexual organs, it is connected with water as an element, emotions, feelings and sexuality

When open, feelings are released freely and are expressed in full serenity. One is receptive to affinity and one can be passionate, outgoing. Furthermore, there are no problems related to sexuality. If he is not very active, he tends to be apathetic and introverted. If he is too active, he tends to be sensitive and emotional all the time. Probably also particularly inclined to the sexual sphere.

  • Sit on your knees, with your back straight, but relaxed.

Extend your hands on your lap, with your palms facing up, one on top of the other. Left hand below, the palm touching the back of the fingers of the right hand and the thumbs touching.

  • Focus on the Sacral Chakra and what it represents, in the sacrum (lower back).
  • Quietly, but clearly, emit the “VAM” sound.
  • During all this time, remain relaxed, with your thoughts still turned to the Chakra, its meaning and the impact it has or should have on your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are totally relaxed. You may feel a "clean" feeling.

Step 4. Open the third Chakra (yellow)

Manipura, the Solar Plexus, the Navel, the Spleen, the Stomach and the Liver. It regulates our nutrition, will and personal autonomy, as well as our metabolism. This Chakra embodies self-confidence, especially in a group. When open, you feel in control of yourself and have a good sense of your dignity. If not very active, we tend to be passive and indecisive. One can often be apprehensive and dissatisfied. If you are too active, you tend to be aggressive and bossy.

  • Sit on your knees, with your shoulders straight, but relaxed.

Place your hands in front of your stomach, slightly below the solar plexus. Put your fingertips together, facing away from you. Cross your thumbs and straighten your fingers (this is important).

  • Concentrate on the Navel Chakra and its meaning, in the spine, slightly above the navel.
  • Quietly, yet distinctly, emit the "RAM" sound.
  • During all this time, let yourself go even more, always thinking about the Chakra, its meaning and the impact it has or should have on your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are totally relaxed. You should be able to feel a "cleansing" sensation (for all Chakras).

Step 5. Open the fourth (green) Chakra. Anahata, Heart Center; it is the central one of the system

It is connected with love and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: a healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, to experience pity and a deep sense of peace. This chakra controls love, care and affection. When open, it makes us friendly and compassionate, always in peaceful relationships. If underactive, people tend to be cold and grumpy. If too active, one tends to be so obsessed with love for others that it suffocates them; this is easily perceived as excessive selfishness.

  • Sit cross-legged.
  • Make sure that the tips of your thumb and forefinger touch each other on both of your hands.
  • Place the left hand on the left knee and the right hand in front of the lower part of the sternum.
  • Focus on the Heart Chakra and what it represents, in the spine, at the height of the heart.
  • Quietly, yet distinctly, emit the “YAM” sound.
  • During all this time, continue to relax your body, always thinking about the Chakra, its meaning and the impact it has or should have on your life.
  • Keep doing this until you are totally relaxed and the "cleansing" feeling returns and / or intensifies in your body.

Step 6. Open the fifth (celestial) Chakra Vishuddha, of the Neck, of the Throat or Center of Communication; Sound, creative identity, oriented towards self-expression

This Chakra governs self-expression and communication. When it is open, expressing yourself happens easily and art seems to be the best way to do it. If he is not very active, he tends not to talk much, often ends up being classified as shy. Lying often can cause total blockage of this Chakra. If he is too active, he tends to talk so much that he annoys others. It also "inhibits" the ability to listen.

  • Again, sit on your lap.
  • Cross all your fingers, except the thumbs, towards the inside of your hands. Join the ends of the thumbs and pull them a little upwards.
  • Focus on the Throat Chakra and what it represents, at the base of the throat.
  • Quietly, but clearly, make the sound "HAM".
  • During all this time, continue to relax your body, always thinking about the Chakra, its meaning and the impact it has or should have on your life.
  • Keep doing this for about five minutes and the "clean" feeling will intensify once again.

Step 7. Open the Chakra (blue) Ajna, Third Eye, center of Command, Eyebrows, Knowledge, Inner Wisdom; It opens the doors to our psychic faculties and "understanding"

Visualization. Psychic Sight.. As the name implies, this Chakra has to do with intuition. If open, one has an extraordinary perception and one tends to dream a lot. If he is not very active, we tend to give importance to what others think for us. Relying on the opinions of others, however, often leads to confusion. If too active, we tend to live all day in an imaginary world. In extreme cases, you may be suffering from frequent "lucid" dreams or even hallucinations.

  • Sit cross-legged.

Place your hands in front of your lower chest. The middle fingers should be stretched out and touching the tips, facing away from you. The other fingers are bent and the first two phalanges touch. The thumbs are pointing towards you and meet at the ends.

  • Focus on the Third Eye Chakra and what it represents, just above the center of the eyebrows.
  • Quietly, but clearly, make the sound "OM" or "AUM".
  • By now, the relaxation of the whole body should happen naturally. Keep thinking about the Chakra, its meaning and how it has or should affect your life.
  • Keep doing this until the "cleansing" feeling returns or becomes more intense.

Step 8. Open the seventh (pink) Chakra Sahasrara, of the Crown, Center of the Vortex, Lotus of 1000 petals

It refers to consciousness as pure awareness. Thought, universal identity, oriented towards self-awareness.. This is the most spiritual of the Chakras. It contains the wisdom of being and communion with the universe. When it is open, the prejudice disappears and the awareness of the world and its connection with your "I" seems to be more evident. If he is not very active, he tends not to be elevated spiritually, and also a particular rigidity with regard to thinking. If he is too active, he always tends to be too rational. Excessive spirituality seems to become a priority to such an extent that you neglect the needs of the body (food, water, and so on).

  • Sit cross-legged.

    Photo 33

Extend your hand in front of your stomach. Point the little fingers upwards, away from you, so that the ends touch, and cross the rest of the fingers with the left thumb under the right.

  • Focus on the Crown Chakra and what it represents, at the top of your head.
  • Quietly, but distinctly, emit the “NG” sound (this is a difficult type of singing as it sounds).
  • All this time, your body should be totally relaxed by now and your mind completely at peace. However, don't stop focusing on the Crown Chakra.
  • This meditation is the longest one, and should last no less than 10 minutes.
  • WARNING: Do not use this meditation if the Root Chakra is not strong or open. Before dealing with this last Chakra, it is necessary to have a solid foundation, which you can achieve with the exercises related to the Root Chakra.
