In Minecraft, on a gameplay level, a fireplace has no specific function, however, having one in the living room will certainly add a touch of class to your home. Follow this guide and learn how to build a brick fireplace by playing Minecraft.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Build the brick blocks for your fireplace
Step 1. Dig some clay blocks
You can easily obtain them in areas where the water is shallow by using a shovel to extract them.
Step 2. Turn the clay blocks into 4 clay balls
Combine each clay ball with a heat source, such as coal, then put them in a furnace to turn them into bricks.
Step 3. Build a brick block using the construction interface and 4 bricks
Method 2 of 2: Build the chimney with the chimney
Step 1. On the outer wall of the house, make a hole suitable for holding brick blocks of the size of 2x4, extend it in height up to the roof
Step 2. In the center of the space created, at floor level, dig a hole of 2 bricks
Step 3. Line your fireplace with brick blocks
Place two blocks of netherrack on the bottom of the fireplace and line the rest of the fireplace with brick blocks of one unit of depth.
Step 4. Extend the chimney to the outside of the house, give it the desired length
Step 5. Light the netherrack blocks with the fire tools (flint and steel), thus completing your work
Advice
- If you don't have any Netherrack blocks, get them in the Nether by extracting them with a pickaxe.
- The blocks of Netherrack will continue to burn until you extinguish them.
