Manhunt is a very fun and action-packed 90s game to play both day and night! Below you will find the basic rules and some tips.
Steps
Step 1. Group at least six players; the number of participants must be even
The more people there are, the more fun the game will be. Divide the players into two teams of the same number and decide which team will hide first; the other team will have to try to capture the opposite team; also choose the captains and two bases close to each other (for example, some benches).
Step 2. The game can be played both day and night
Both moments have advantages and disadvantages.
Step 3. It is recommended that you wear dark colored clothing, such as brown, gray, dark blue or camouflage colors
Avoid black as it tends to make your body stand out when you are near other objects. Do not wear brightly colored clothes even if you play during the day.
Step 4. Hide in covered areas, such as bushes, near ditches with drooping trees, in the corners of alleys, on hills, behind trees, etc
Step 5. If you see a hunter approaching the road where you are hiding, do not hide behind or near a car to avoid being seen
Instead, move in the opposite direction.
Step 6. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to run fast
Step 7. Make sure you are playing in an area where you can run at night
For example, in a neighborhood or in an area near a forest.
Step 8. Make sure all players have a cell phone with them in case they get lost or to communicate that it's time to get out of hiding
For example, create a chat group on your phone.
Step 9. Try to get back to your base without getting caught
If you touch the base of the opposing team you will be disqualified until the next match.
Step 10. Choose a game mode:
Captains Rules or Majority Rules. In the first method, if the leader of the hiding team arrives at the base without being caught, then his team wins. In the Majority method (the best known and funniest one), if most of the players on a team reach the base without being caught, then the team wins.
Step 11. Make sure the teams are balanced
If one of the players is not running very fast or if he has asthma, pair him with a faster person.
Step 12. Hiding in the backyard, inside a car, in your house or garage and going beyond the boundaries (before you begin, set the boundaries together) is against the rules of the game; if a player breaks the rules he is automatically eliminated and must return to base
Step 13. Set a time limit within which the team can hide and return to base in order to play more games before it's time to go home
For example, 1-10 minutes of time are ideal; make sure all players are aware of this limit.
Step 14. Decide on a signal to indicate the start of the game
For example, a scream or the sound of a horn.
Step 15. The player who is captured becomes a hunter
Step 16. If necessary, team captains can request a time out to communicate with the group
Advice
- Try to make as little noise as possible so as not to be found.
- Do not wear too good clothes that could get damaged or dirty during the game.
- If you see a hunter approaching your hiding place, try to escape unnoticed; or, if escape is not possible, stand still and try not to be seen. Escape as soon as you can.
- Be careful not to go beyond the established boundaries so as not to ruin the game.
- Use diversions to distract hunters, for example, bang a garage door and escape.
- Don't stay in the same hiding place all the time; move all the time.
- Make sure you are not breaking the law and possibly not playing too late in the evening so as not to disturb the neighborhood.
- Don't be afraid to play in the streets, but be careful to stay close to buildings to prevent car lights from revealing your location.
- If your hiding place is very safe, stay where you are, otherwise keep moving.
Warnings
- Don't play in landfills.
- Stay away from automatic lights.
- Do not play on the main streets and be careful to only cross if the street is clear.
- Do not approach dogs that may bark and reveal your hiding place.
- Don't bring any valuables with you to avoid losing them while running.
- Don't trespass on private property, let alone someone else's garden.
- Bring a drink with you to keep yourself hydrated.
- If you play in the evening, avoid areas you don't know.
- Have fun!
