If your garage is an integral part of the home you are so proud of, it will most likely be free of any stain or halo. In the unfortunate event that a guest's car stains it with an oil leak, turning it into something that looks grimy, wet and black, take a deep breath and follow the steps in this guide.
Steps
Step 1. Take a couple of handfuls of environmentally friendly hydrocarbon neutralizing agent (preferable) or use regular washing powder
Sprinkle them on the stain.
Step 2. Add a small amount of water to the stain as well
This way the oil will have a medium in which to dissolve.
Step 3. If you have used powder detergent, wait until the next day or allow at least 12 hours to pass, in the case of a neutralizing agent, instead, go to the next step
Step 4. Rinse with water
Step 5. Celebrate your clean floor
Step 6. Get some cat litter
In absorbing oil, it is as efficient as the product used in car repair shops. Pour it on the stain and rub it on the ground with your foot. It will not be necessary to use a rag to remove the stain, the sand will absorb it. Remove it with the broom and repeat the operation. Wait a few minutes and then brush it off. You will see that you will no longer be able to determine where the stain was. This method also works with older oil stains.
Step 7. There are many ecological absorbent products on the market, look for them on the web and buy them to be able to use them quickly in case of future oil, petrol or paint leaks
They are extremely absorbent and renewable.
