If your lipstick has cracked but is not to be thrown away, or if it has melted in the car, you can try to fix it rather than throwing it in the bin. There is a system to fix a broken or loose lipstick using a special mold that allows you to professionally recreate the shape of the cosmetic and put it back in its container. Start from the first step to save your favorite lipstick!
Steps
Step 1. Prepare a clean work surface
Spread some paper towels on the surface of the counter.
Step 2. Put on clear gloves
Use fine disposable gloves that don't hinder your movements.
Step 3. Remove the broken piece of lipstick
If it has not already detached, remove it with your hands.
Step 4. Place the lipstick container on the counter in an upright position
Spin it as far as possible so that any remaining product comes out.
Step 5. Get a match or lighter
Carefully run the lit match or lighter under the base of the broken lipstick piece. Lightly melt this part and the part stuck to the lipstick. Do not let the lipstick burn at this stage.
Step 6. Take the broken part and gently attach it to the lipstick base
Step 7. Secure the edges
Use a toothpick or the clean end of a match to perfectly join the two pieces and secure the product.
Step 8. Put the lipstick in the refrigerator for about half an hour or until completely cooled
Step 9. Throw away the paper towels and clean the counter
Your lipstick is as good as it was before.
Step 10. Finished

- Some people recommend using a tissue to fix the lipstick. This method is easy and doesn't require a lot of tools. However, the gloves are cleaner and will not stick to the lipstick, while the handkerchief may stick. So if you can, use gloves.
- A lipstick with very little base can still be fixed and used for some other time. First, put your gloves on. Next, mash the broken part and put it back in its container. Apply the lipstick with a lip brush.
