This wikiHow teaches you how to create a music CD with a compilation of songs downloaded from YouTube. Read on to find out how.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Get the YouTube Songs URL
Step 1. Launch a text editor on your computer
If you are using a Windows system, the default program in this case is "Notepad", while if you are using a Mac you can use "TextEdit". This tool will help you in collecting and organizing all the web addresses of the YouTube videos that contain the audio tracks you want to download.
Step 2. Log in to YouTube
You will be redirected to the main page of the site.
If you have the desire to download audio tracks reserved for an adult audience, you will need to log into your Google account first. If you haven't already, press the button Log in located in the upper right corner of the page, then enter the e-mail address associated with your profile and the relative security password.
Step 3. Search for a video
Select the YouTube search bar, enter the title of the song you want to download and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
If the title of the song you are looking for is very common, you may need to refine your search by also using the name of the artist who composed it or the album that contains it
Step 4. Select the video of your interest
Click the icon that contains the video preview of the song you want to download. The chosen content will be played on the screen.
It is not always possible to download the audio tracks of videos published on very popular and famous channels, such as Vevo. If a particular video is causing you trouble while downloading, try to locate the same song posted by a different user or look for an amateur video whose soundtrack is the song you are looking for
Step 5. Copy the URL of the video in question
Select the browser address bar at the top of its window, then press the key combination Ctrl + C (on Windows systems) or ⌘ Command + C (on Mac).
