This article explains how to read messages received on Facebook from people you don't have as a friend.
Steps
Step 1. Visit
The "News Section" will open.
If the login screen appears instead of the "News Section", enter your username and password in the fields indicated, then click on "Login"
Step 2. Click on Messenger
This option is located on the left side of the screen, exactly under the heading "News Section". The Messenger screen will open.
Entering the address https://www.messenger.com in the browser bar is another method of accessing Messenger
Step 3. Click on the "Settings" icon
It is depicted as a gear and is located in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 4. Click Message Requests
This way you will see the list of messages received from people you do not have among your friends.
Step 5. Click on a message to view its content
The sender won't know if you've read it unless they click the "Accept" button at the bottom of the message.
- Click on "Ignore" at the bottom of the message to archive it without letting the sender know that you have read it.
- Click on "View filtered messages" (below the request list) to view messages that Facebook thinks you don't want to see (including spam and possible scams).
