This article shows you how to create a Netflix account to get access to the one month free trial period. Although the service offered by Netflix requires the payment of a monthly subscription, the first month is free and it is possible to cancel the account before the trial period expires, an action that does not involve any cost. It should be noted that there is no legal method to be able to use Netflix for free beyond the first month of trial, although technically it is possible to create multiple accounts to be entitled to multiple free trial periods, but in this scenario you must have a different payment method for each profile.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using a Computer
Step 1. Go to the Netflix website
Type the URL "https://www.netflix.com/" into the address bar of the internet browser.
Step 2. Press the Subscribe free for one month button
It is red in color and is positioned at the bottom of the page.
If you see another account's personal Netflix page, you can choose to use a different browser or log out. In the latter case, move the mouse cursor over the profile icon in the upper right corner of the page and choose the option Go out from the menu that will appear.
Step 3. Press the View Plans button when prompted
It is red in color and is located at the bottom of the newly appeared page. You will be redirected to the list of subscription plans offered by Netflix.
Step 4. Choose one of the plans
Since the first month of subscription is free, the best choice falls on the "Premium" subscription type, which also includes streaming content in high definition.
If you have already decided to extend the duration of your subscription beyond the free period, consider choosing a cheaper plan, based on your needs
Step 5. Scroll down the page and press the Continue button
It is red in color and is located at the bottom of the current screen.
Step 6. Press the Continue button when prompted
You will be automatically redirected to the page relating to the creation of your personal account.
Step 7. Enter a valid email address and create the security password
In the first text field type the e-mail address you usually use (or one you have access to), then in the second field enter the password to access the Netflix service.
Step 8. Press the Continue button
It is located at the bottom of the current screen.
Step 9. Select a payment method
You usually have two options: use a credit or debit card or use a PayPal account.
In some cases, you will have the option to enter a Netflix gift code as well
Step 10. Enter the information about the chosen payment method
Even if the first month of subscription is free, you will still need to enter a valid payment method so that Netflix can use it for automatic billing for the next period. Normally you will need to provide the card holder's name, number, security code and expiration date.
If you have chosen to use a PayPal account, you will need to log in with the relevant credentials and follow the instructions that will appear on the screen to confirm the purchase of the Netflix service on the PayPal platform
Step 11. Press the Start Subscription button
It is located at the bottom of the page. The Netflix account creation procedure is complete: at this point you are ready to start using the Netflix streaming service which, as already mentioned, is completely free for the first month.
Step 12. Cancel your Netflix membership before the free month expires
To be able to enjoy the free trial month that Netflix has made available to you and avoid having to pay for the second month, cancel your subscription a few days before the renewal date. To cancel your subscription you will need to use a computer:
- Go to the Netflix website https://www.netflix.com/ and log in to your account.
- If necessary, select the profile to which the subscription to cancel is linked.
- Move the mouse pointer to the profile icon located in the upper right corner of the page, then choose the option Account from the drop-down menu that will appear.
- Select the link Cancel subscription located in the upper left corner of the newly appeared page.
- Push the button Confirm cancellation located in the upper left of the page.
Method 2 of 2: Using a Mobile Device
Step 1. Launch the Netflix app
It features a black icon with a red "N" inside.
Step 2. Press the Subscribe free for one month button
It is red in color and is located at the bottom of the screen.
If you see the personal Netflix page for another account, press the button ☰ and choose the option Go out to log out of your account, then tap the link Sign in located on the main application screen.

- Even if the first month of membership is free, you will still need to enter a valid payment method in order to complete the Netflix registration process.
Step 11. Press the Start Subscription button
It is located at the bottom of the screen. The Netflix account creation process is complete. At this point you are ready to start using the Netflix streaming service for a whole month completely free.
Step 12. Cancel your Netflix membership before the free month expires

Advice
- If you have a PayPal account that you have paired with your debit card, you can use it to create a second Netflix account and have access to a new one-month free trial period.
- Occasionally Netflix opens job positions that allow you to work remotely and that could be exploited to have access to the service for free for the duration of the employment relationship.
- You can ask a friend or relative to share their Netflix subscription with you in exchange for paying a monthly subscription fee for the service.
Warnings
- Attempting to use a paid service for free, using means or strategies that have not clearly been made available by the operator of that service, is an illegal activity and Netflix is not an exception to this rule.
- In some cases, using a friend's Netflix account may violate the terms of legal use of the service. Always make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the Netflix contract that regulates how to use the service at hand to avoid engaging in inappropriate or even illegal conduct.
- It is not possible to use the same payment method on multiple accounts. For this reason, in order to have access to another free trial month, it is necessary to use a different payment method than the one already used previously.
