Steps

Step 1. Dress in an original way

Be the trendsetter of the school. Bring casual but cute clothing from brands like Under Armor, Nike, Aeropostale, Abercrombie, Hollister, Gap, North Face (especially jackets). Uggs (you can find new ones on eBay for a good price) and skinny jeans are a must. Make sure you match your clothes, avoid crazy color combinations.

Step 2. Find out about the most popular sports among your peers

As soon as you spot one that interests you, start training right away. You may not get great overnight, but you can improve over time. Usually, in the fifth grade, popular girls are very flexible. Try cheerleading.

Step 3. Play sports

Playing sports is also ideal for dedicating yourself to an activity that goes beyond school and home. You have to work hard, but that's not all. Choose a sport that interests you, whether it's swimming, rhythmic gymnastics or football.

Let's take an example. You are at the cafeteria and you are carrying the lunch tray. You drop a napkin and your fork falls when you reach down to pick it up. Once you get up, you run into a classmate of yours, spilling water and pizza on yourself. Don't run away to throw everything away and take refuge in the bathroom. Have a laugh. The embarrassment will go away on its own. You must always give the impression that your life is perfect the way it is. But don't laugh too much, or they'll think you're weird.

Step 7. Do not murmur or shout

Never speak too loudly or too quietly. Make sure you always move your lips sharply.

Step 8. Do not follow anyone, otherwise you will always look for a leader to refer to, even when you are older

If you admire a cool person and have something in common, talk to them. Once she gets to know her better, walk away, she will probably be fascinated by you. Never say: "Oh, where did you buy these pants?", "Oh my God, I have the same shirt!".

Step 13. Take part in numerous activities

For example, after you've found a sport you like, play it and get noticed. But you don't have to appear desperate for attention, but rather relaxed.

Step 14. Behave in a sophisticated way

Don't act without giving importance to the rules. You have to look mature. If you are always unruly, people will feel annoyed by this attitude and nobody will like you. You don't have to be too serious either, or they'll think you're boring and no one will attend your parties. Find a balance.

Enter a password so no one will peek at your personal stuff, like text messages.

• Try to listen to a good variety of cool music, such as Trapped Under Ice, Jay Sean, Black Eyed Peas or any other popular band in your school (make sure you have songs from different artists and lots of songs!). If you only have 10 songs on your mobile, you won't seem like a music lover.

• Add as many people as you want on your social networks and use popular apps, like YoVille, MyFish, etc. Also, download an app that allows you to send online tickets or other stuff to your friends. As a profile photo, insert a nice, recent one. Don't give too much away or try to look older, there are maniacs online looking for little girls. You can be cool without looking desperate for attention with heavy makeup or flirty clothes. Also, just add your friends. Your password shouldn't be easy to find out, for example don't use your first name, last name or name of your best friend.

  

• If they send you a nasty email or message, just ignore it. While bothering you, don't reply and block the person who sent it.

  

Step 16. Try to have a best friend and lots of friends

You don't just have to get close to popular people to be cool, you have to have friends who are different from each other.

• Don't befriend unsympathetic girls. Ignore them if they behave badly towards you. What do you care?

  

Step 17. Make sure you believe in yourself

Girls like having a self-confident best friend. If they insult you, respond witty or look at these people in a funny way and walk away.

• Never disappoint a person who counts on you.
• Stand up for bullied people. Stand up for yourself, and you could make new friends.
• Don't try to humiliate others, you won't make a good impression.
• Always be up to date with what is happening at school on a social level.
• In winter, wear leggings under shorts and combine them with a nice sweater. It is a very nice outfit!
• Don't copy other girls, under any circumstances.
