The Military Chignon is a very tight and clean type of chignon required by the army for women with long hair. However, it is not just a hairstyle for work, you can do it on any day when you are with your friends or for an evening. If you want to know how, follow these instructions.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Make a Military Bun
Step 1. Make a ponytail right in the middle of the back of the head
Secure it with a good rubber band, making two or three turns. The tail must be very taut and close to the head.
Step 2. Put a second rubber band around the first
So if the first one breaks or loses its tension, you will be prepared.
Step 3. Raise the tail and roll it up on itself
Hold it up while turning it very tightly.
Step 4. Turn the tail around itself
Starting at the base, wrap it several times along its entire length. Make sure no rounds are limp, and that the hair is wrapped neatly without lumps.
Step 5. Secure the bun with 3-4 large bobby pins
Start at the top of the bun, pushing the bobby pins down to secure it to the other hair. Move your head, if you feel that the bun is not completely stable and firm, use more bobby pins until you feel it tight.
Step 6. Put a hair net over the bun (optional)
As a final touch you can apply a net (folded two or three times according to the size of the bun).
Step 7. Fix the retina
Use at least 2-3 bobby pins to secure it on the bun.
Step 8. Spray the bun with hairspray
Smooth out unruly strands with gel. Bring your hairspray with you if you need to do any touch-ups during the day.
Step 9. Finished
Method 2 of 2: Prepare the Hair
Step 1. Brush your hair. Spend some time on it to get straight, knot-free hair. Make sure this is the first thing you do, if you brush them after washing them you could break them and damage them.
Step 2. Wash your hair
Use shampoo and conditioner if you need them, but the intent is to wet the hair. However, cleaning them is not a bad idea.
Step 3. Leave your hair damp
Dry them just a little with a towel or wring them out. If they are wet it will be difficult to do the bun and it will be difficult if they are dry. So don't wait too long to get your hairstyle fixed.
Step 4. Gently comb them to remove knots
Put some gel on the comb and continue combing.
Advice
- If you don't succeed the first few times, don't worry, it takes some time to master the technique.
- You need 10-20 minutes to do this hairstyle, it depends on the length and thickness of your hair.
- Put some gel to smooth the tufts over the ears.
- If you have bangs, put some gel on your hands and apply it to your hair from the forehead back. Repeat this action a couple of times and then comb through.
- NOTE: This is not a "Saturday night" hairstyle; hair poking out of the bun and too many fluttering locks are completely outside military standards for women.
- For any very formal occasion, avoid using cheeky and very colorful accessories. This hairstyle is not suitable for decorations, barrettes, and other accessories.
