Nowadays, for teenagers, it is becoming more and more difficult to feel adequate. The secret to being sociable and self-confident lies in self-esteem, which many young people believe is easier to have if you feel beautiful. Beauty, fundamentally, is closely linked to hygiene. Take care of yourself! You deserve it.
Steps
Step 1. Follow good oral hygiene
Brush your teeth, use mouthwash and floss once or twice a day. Plus, try using sugar-free gums after meals. You certainly don't want to smile at the object of your crush (or anyone else) with a piece of cabbage wedged between the front teeth. Always carry a packet of peppermint gums with you to use for when your breath isn't on its best days! If you need it, use the brace, and don't be ashamed to wear it - in a few years, once you take it off, you will be the one who will have a great smile!
Step 2. Use deodorant or antiperspirant and perfume if you like, even if you don't think you smell bad
Deodorant is probably a healthier choice than antiperspirants, as it does not contain aluminum, but antiperspirants work better and are easier to find. A little bit of perfume will only do you good, as long as it's not too strong and gives you a good smell. For the perfume, try the fragrances used by some celebrities, but they are not too cheap (if you find them in Italy, you can use Justin Bieber's girlfriend perfume or the Wonderstruck perfume used by Taylor Swift), or some perfume found in one of the many perfumery chains and personal care products. These types of stores are also great for finding deodorants that don't contain aluminum.
Step 3. Try to be healthy
You may think it doesn't matter too much, but being fit and being healthy will make a huge difference. It is not as difficult as it sounds. Make sure you eat healthy foods and stay away from fatty or sugary ones; Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and exercise for at least 30-60 minutes every day. After an aerobic activity, such as running, your heart rate will stay high for 30 minutes, putting your body into "fat burning" mode. Try to burn more calories than you eat every day, and make sure you don't skip any meals. You would only make your body consume muscle tissue and make it store fat, slowing down your metabolism and, therefore, getting you lost. In addition, after an aerobic workout (dance, running, kickboxing, etc.), try a light workout aimed at increasing strength, such as yoga or pilates, but nothing too intense, such as weight lifting.
Step 4. Take care of your hair
Use shampoo and conditioner at least 2-3 times a week. On days when you can afford it, let your hair get oily and greasy. It might sound disgusting, but natural oils are very good for your hair. However, when you have greasy hair, pull it up in a ponytail and / or wear a hair or a large headband / headband to make it a little prettier.
Step 5. Use the razor or wax to get rid of unwanted hair
If you want to remove facial hair, a good idea is to contact professionals. For best results with the razor, use an exfoliant on your legs, dry them with a towel, cover them with lots of shaving foam and sparse. Be careful not to get used to shaving too much (for example every day), as it will cause the hair to grow back thicker, and it could become a nuisance. Plus, if you shave too much, you may end up accidentally cutting yourself.
Step 6. Take care of your nails
There is no need to go to a beauty salon. Simply buy a nail file and / or nail clipper or manicure scissors. You can shape your nails with the file or cut the uneven parts with a nail clipper or scissors. If you want a natural look, use a clear or neutral strengthener such as beige, tan or light pink. If you want a bit more sparkling look, pick the color you want, just make sure to fix it if it ever does jump in some places. Chipped enamel looks bad. If you want, try to follow some guidelines for nail art, the art of nail decoration.
Step 7. Fight your vices
Stop biting your nails and playing with your cuticles and other blemishes on your skin.
Step 8. Smile
Seriously! It will make you look much prettier and more helpful. Just make sure your teeth are clean!
Step 9. Use some makeup to enhance your natural look (if you want)
Don't overdo it, and use neutral colors. Use mascara to make your eyes look bigger. Lip balm and lip gloss are okay, but you can use lipstick to get a bolder look. If you don't want anything noticeable on your lips, just use lip balm to hydrate them. Acne is very common among teenagers, but you can hide it with concealer and foundation. If you want, also buy a mild facial cleanser to remove them.
Step 10. When dressing, find a style that fits your build
Don't wear tight-fitting clothes if you are a bit stout, but still avoid wearing clothes that are too loose that they fall off. Make sure everything you wear is clean and tidy. If you have stained or uncorked garments (unless it's jeans that are so fashionable nowadays), throw them away. Don't dress the same for two days in a row, and make sure everything is clean and wrinkle-free.
Step 11. Remember that you can change your look, but changing your personality to match others isn't always a good thing so, with that said, always be yourself
Sure, it's a cliché, but it's the truth! Being yourself will make you look even more beautiful. Remember, it's all about being sure of yourself; when you are sure of yourself, you feel even more beautiful than you are.
Advice
- Always try to be comfortable with what you say, what you do and what you wear. Nobody can scratch you if you are always happy with what you do.

Warnings
- Be careful not to wash your face or hair too often as if you overdo it, you will get worse effects than not washing it.
- Make sure you know how to wear makeup before you go around school. Practice!
- Don't get carried away by the desire to change everything immediately! Do everything in small steps and in moderation.
