You may think that drawing an urban landscape is difficult, but in reality it is a rather easy process; follow the instructions in this article to make a realistic landscape with your own hands.
Steps
Step 1. Draw a line that represents the outline of the buildings
Use only vertical straight lines by drawing many buildings of different sizes. Try to reproduce them with some variety, otherwise the landscape will be uninteresting.
Step 2. Add a second row of buildings just in front of the first one
This way, you add depth to the design. Remember to keep the right proportions between the elements and, if you make a mistake, erase the lines with great care so as not to ruin the rest of the sketch.
Step 3. Color the back row of structures a lighter shade of gray than the one you use for the front row
Paint the sky as if it were dawn; if you add more rows of constructions, remember that as they "move" towards the horizon they must have a lighter gray tone.
Step 4. Add some details, such as randomly lit lights in buildings
Use rectangles and squares to draw the windows; make several of them close to each other on the large buildings, so that they look like apartments. Do not add any light in warehouses or similar places.
Advice
- Draw with a light pencil stroke to easily erase mistakes.
- Add a simple or circular cluster of bright stars to make the drawing even more realistic!
- Don't forget the sun or clouds to represent a more realistic environment.
- Draw the buildings with different shades.
