There is always something fun to do, even when you don't have any friends. Take a walk around the mall, and check out what movies the multiplex is showing and if there are any that are worth seeing. Talk to other patrons while in a store, or buy something new to wear, or a new video game. While the company of friends would be preferable, having no one to hang out with shouldn't depress you, because there are other ways to have fun alone.
Steps
Step 1. Play computer and video games
This way you will have fun for hours without the need for anyone else. Maybe play World of Warcraft. If you don't want to pay to play, go to Google and search for "Free online games" or "Flash games".
-
Bonus: you might as well make some friends online this way!
Step 2. Get a pet that can become your best friend
Make sure you live up to the commitment and responsibility that comes with it.
Step 3. Visit a library
Read some good books and join some reading groups.
Step 4. Create your own diary and write us something every day
Step 5. Find a large library where they also sell music albums
Spend time among others and listen to music from the headphones provided. Order a coffee at the bar, find someone else who is alone and say hello. You could make a new friend this way. Ask your family members what their favorite bands are and try listening to your parents' old CDs.
Step 6. Go to the cinema
Enjoying a movie alone is great. No one speaks during the show, however, so you won't feel uncomfortable. Buy some popcorn and a drink, and enjoy the movie.
Step 7. Start walking for exercise
Take the dog out, sign up for a yoga class, or join a swim team. It's fun and you'll always be fit! Or just try doing some bending and bending. Dance is also very rewarding.
Step 8. Take the laptop to a library that provides Internet connection
Step 9. Try to understand why you don't have any friends
Do you tend to cut other people out? Are you bullying? Are you considered a "nerd"? What are you doing that keeps other people away? But don't be too hard on yourself. Many people simply don't have the time to make friends, they are busy working, taking care of their family, or going to school. There may be nothing wrong with you, so don't be too angry. The world is quite complex these days, so not everyone wants to make new friends.
Step 10. Remember there are many ways you can keep yourself busy
Don't just rely on people to be happy. Find a hobby, become an artist, decorate pottery, visit museums, volunteer to lead.
Step 11. Watch television at home
(Don't look at it for too long as it hurts. Always be moderate in everything.)
Step 12. Rent a movie to watch at home, make some popcorn and relax
Step 13. Call a relative and talk about this and that
Talking to a family member and spending time with him / her can be a lot of fun.
Step 14. Go to the movies with your parents
Yeah, it may sound a bit nerdy, but hey, they can be your friends too, especially if you don't have any others.
Step 15. Buy a console, such as an Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Nintendo Wii
(The Wii will also allow you to exercise during the endless hours of fun and entertainment.)
Step 16. Listen to the radio
You can always find something interesting, whether it's a talk show, a news bulletin, or the music chart of a local station.
Step 17. Write
Writing is very rewarding. You can write about anything from social issues to your own personal experiences. It's also a great way to let off some steam over having no friends.
Step 18. Join one of the many social networks, such as MySpace, Facebook, or Google+
Step 19. Volunteer
Volunteering is a very enriching experience. This could be helping an elderly neighbor or going to a homeless care center. Find out about the soup kitchens, retirement homes, churches, etc. in your area. You never know. You might even make some new friends while you help people in your neighborhood.
Step 20. Do the housework
Vacuum, fold your laundry, wash your parents' car, or clean the bathroom if you're bored.
Step 21. Play sports
Go for a run, go bowling, go for a swim, go for a bike ride or walk the neighborhood. You could always make some new acquaintance on the street.
Step 22. Study
Finish all homework, study a certain subject (especially if you have an exam soon!). Not only will you get better grades, but you may also find new friends who need help with their homework!
Advice
- Remember that friendships won't always make you happy. Learn to be happy with yourself and alone. Then if some friendships arise, you can be happy for that too.
- Try to join a club that interests you. You may find friends with the same interests and you can do something you like!
- Find a hobby that takes a long time. Go to a church you like, join a social or political club. You will have many opportunities to make friends.
Warnings
- If you happen to meet people in chat rooms or on social networks, be very careful not to give out any personal information that could harm you or someone else.
- Persecuting people because you don't have any friends is not the way to go.
- Don't watch too much TV and don't overdo it with social networks.
