This wikiHow teaches you how to set a Google Photos image as wallpaper using an iPhone or iPad. While the app doesn't offer a specific option to perform this procedure, you can download a photo to your camera roll and then set it as wallpaper on your device.
Steps
Step 1. Open Google Photos
The icon looks like a colored pinwheel.
Download the application if you don't already have it, then log in using the email address and password you have associated with your Google account
Step 2. Tap the photo you want to use as wallpaper
This will open a preview of the image.
Step 3. Tap ⋯
This icon looks like three dots and is located at the top right.
Step 4. Tap Download
Step 5. Tap the "home" button to return to the main screen
This key looks like a small square and is located at the bottom of the device.
Step 6. Tap the "Photos" app
The icon features a colored flower on a white background and is located on the main screen.
Step 7. Tap the image you downloaded
If you don't see it right away, tap the "Albums" tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap "All Photos". You should find it at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8. Tap
Tap the blue icon at the bottom left.
Step 9. Tap Use as Wallpaper
The icon resembles an iPhone or iPad and is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 10. Edit the image
Pinch the screen with two fingers. Open your fingers to zoom in and close them to zoom out. Drag the image to place it in the right position.
Step 11. Tap Set
It is a gray button located at the bottom right. A pop-up menu will open from the bottom of the screen.
Step 12. Select a wallpaper option
Tap one of the following:
- Set as screen lock: the image will appear in the background when the screen is locked;
- Set as home screen: the image will appear on the background of the home screen, behind applications and folders;
- Set both: The image will appear both on the home screen wallpaper and on the lock screen.
