Have you decided you want to dye your hair from brown to blonde, but don't want to go to the hairdresser or use bleaching products? Here's how to do it.
Steps
Step 1. Take a spray dispenser and fill it with water and lemon juice
Shake it to mix the two ingredients well.
Step 2. Spray the mixture on the hair you want to make blonde
-
If you have decided to color all your hair, spray freely and use your fingers to massage the mixture between the strands, distribute evenly.
-
If the effect you want to achieve is that of blonde streaks, separate the strands you want to lighten and direct the spray carefully and precisely on one point of the strand. Use your fingers to moisten the rest of the strand with the lightening mixture.
Step 3. Expose your hair to sunlight, or heat from a blow dryer, to start the lightening process
Choose one of the two options:
-
Apply lemon juice to damp hair and dry it with the hot air of the hairdryer (choose maximum heat).
-
Or apply lemon juice to damp or dry hair and expose it to the sun for a few hours. If you choose this option remember to apply a protective skin filter (factor 15).
Step 4. Repeat the above steps every 2 or 3 days
After the first application you may not see the desired results, continue and you will see that in a week you will notice the difference.
Step 5. Keep your hair healthy
While lightening your hair with lemon juice keeps you safe from chemical bleaching products, lemon juice is also an acid and could dry out your hair. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and try not to use a hair dryer, straightener or curler more than 2 or 3 times a week.
Advice
- Don't be in a hurry and lighten your hair gradually to avoid damaging it.
- Ask friends for their opinion, do they think blond would be okay? If you want help with the lightening process.
- Remember that to get your brown hair back you will have to dye it yourself or at the hairdresser, think about it.
- Touch up the hair roots with lemon juice every 3 to 4 weeks.
