Knowing the Takt time helps us to estimate the production time of a product to cover the request coming from the customer. The takt time helps us to achieve a consistent and continuous production flow. Eliminate the waste of overproduction with a production that reflects the real needs of the customer. Encourage the development of standardized work instructions by promoting quality and efficiency. Most importantly, it allows us to set production goals in real time, showing staff where the process is right.
Steps
Step 1. Understand what Takt time is
The takt time is the production rate (for example, one piece per minute) that aligns production to customer demand.
In simple terms, it represents the production time of a product sufficient to cover the request from the customer.
Calculation of takt time = available time / customer demand. For example, if a customer requests 100 light bulbs a day, the takt time will be 8 hours / 100.
8 hours is the time worked in a 9-hour work day (you will need to exclude breaks, hours spent in meetings, etc.) to enter the available time in the numerator.
This means that each bulb will take 4 to 8 minutes to complete.
Step 2. Calculate your question
For example, what does your end user / customer normally request each day / week / month?
Step 3. Calculate the time available to you (excluding breaks, hours set aside for meetings, etc.)
Step 4. Calculate your takt time (Available Time / Demand)
Step 5. Compare the production cycle time with the takt time using any graph, preferably a bar graph
Step 6. Draw a mapping of the value stream, you will be able to provide and take into account the takt time at each step of the activity
Advice
Producing at a faster rate than takt time leads to overproduction, i.e. greater waste.
Producing at a lower rate than takt time leads to unwanted expectations on the part of the customer.
The cost of production (CoP) is the total cost of manufacturing a product or delivering a service. CoP varies between products and services, but usually includes labor costs, material costs and fixed costs. On your company's income statement, the CoP is subtracted from the total revenue to calculate the gross profit margin.
Whether it is the first signs of puberty or the transition to an older age, aging is a sore point for men. However, the physical changes over the years also offer some advantages. The first step is to know what to expect. Then it is possible to decide how to deal with the transformation of the body and make the most of this situation.
Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) is a unit of measure corresponding to the workload of a full-time employee. It represents a value equal to the number of full-time workers in a company and is calculated by adding all the working hours provided by the staff in a year, part-time and full-time, and then dividing the result obtained by the number of hours of job of a full-time employee.
Mail merge is a very common feature found in all office software. It allows you to send the same document to different recipients, personalizing it with the data of each. You can set up and perform this procedure to produce any type of document:
The doubling time refers to the time it takes to double the growth of specific elements of a group, such as populations or living cells. Knowing the doubling time can be useful for estimating geographic areas where resources may be scarce due to extreme and sudden population increases, or for estimating the rate of growth of cancer, or other harmful cells, to decide if necessary whether to adopt.
