This article shows you how to follow friends, celebrities, companies and organizations on Instagram.
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Instagram app by tapping the icon on your device
It features a stylized camera marked with the name "Instagram".
If prompted, select your account and log in
Step 2. Go to the tab to search
It features a magnifying glass and is located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Type the name of the person or organization you want to follow in the search bar located at the top of the screen
Step 4. Tap the name of the user you want to follow from the results list
- If the person you are looking for does not appear, contact them in another way to ask for the name of their Instagram account.
- If you've chosen to follow a celebrity or organization but can't locate their account, try a Google search using their public name.
Step 5. Press the "Follow" button located at the top of the screen
Step 6. Follow other Instagram users displayed in your device address book or Facebook friends list
- Access your profile by tapping the icon featuring a stylized human silhouette in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Press the "⋮" button located in the upper right corner of the screen. A list of options will be displayed.
- Select the "Facebook friends" item in the "Follow people" section to be able to follow Facebook users who are your friends and have an Instagram account. In the same way, choose the "Contacts" option in the same section to be able to follow all the contacts in your device's address book who have an Instagram account.
