Are you a messy person but do you want to radically change? This article will help you do it easily.
Steps
Step 1. Reflect
If you are neat and tidy, you seriously need to get off the sofa and tidy up. Comfort is no more important than a clean and tidy place to live. Being clean and tidy means having everything in its place.
Step 2. Organize yourself mentally
Being clean and tidy means you can think more clearly, feel more motivated and put off things to do less.
Step 3. Tidy up the kitchen
You will probably have the kitchen a bit cluttered and disorganized. If you have bags of chips next to the microwave, put them in the pantry. If there is a bevy of spices on the countertops, place them on a shelf, along with the sugar and flour. Organize the refrigerator by placing butter, bread and eggs on the bottom shelf, yogurt and leftovers on the top shelf, and milk and fruit juice on the middle shelf. In this way, you will find everything more easily because everything will be in its place.
Step 4. Organize the bathroom
If you have cats, sweep the litter grains off the floor and throw them in the trash. Put the cotton swabs behind the toilet, along with your finest soaps and oils or bath salts. Put the first aid kit, bathroom cleaners (don't put ammonia-containing ones next to bleach), and spare toilet paper under the sink.
Step 5. Clear the living room
First, remove all the trash and throw it in the trash. Afterward, arrange the coffee table. Put coasters, new newspapers and drinks on the coffee table (don't do this if you have a dog with a long tail!). Sort the DVDs alphabetically, from A to Z. Take all the old magazines and newspapers and throw them in the paper recycling bin, along with all the boxes and cardboard boxes you no longer need.
Step 6. Sort the bedroom
Put all the clean linen in the closet or dresser, make the bed, clean under the bed, and vacuum the carpet. Sort the books in the library alphabetically, by author. Put the handkerchiefs on the bedside table next to the lamp. Also keep a phone on your nightstand in case someone calls you in the middle of the night.
Step 7. Maintain this lifestyle, and everyone will call your home "The Cleanest House in the Neighborhood"
Advice
- Repeat all the steps whenever the house feels a little disorganized and untidy.
- Always keep ammonia away from bleach.
- Make sure you clean the carpets and under the bed when tidying up.
- Keep calm. If you haven't tidied up your house for a while, you will feel like you can't do it all, and tidying up will feel stressful. Paradoxically, living in a cluttered environment increases stress.
- An orderly house equals an orderly mind.
- Place a trash can in every room of the house, so that you have the option to throw things away all over the place.
- Make a recycling bin out of a box, drawing on it the symbol of the material to be recycled.
