After attending middle school for some time, you may suddenly find yourself with an incredible amount of material to take with you. Before you know it, your backpack will be in total chaos. By taking ten minutes to organize it, you will save yourself a lot of time later when you have to find a pencil or an assignment.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Clean the backpack
Step 1. Clean up, rearrange and clean up again
Empty your backpack. Completely, down to the last pocket.
-
Divide the material you find into several groups. For example, divide textbooks, binders, notebooks, pens, and miscellaneous items into different groups.
-
Do some cleaning again. Go through the different groups and throw away the one you don't need. Throw away the scribbled pages from your notebook, pencil butts, broken hair ties, and any other useless items. If you can, recycle the sheets of paper that you can reuse and throw away everything else.
-
Go through the binders and notebooks and organize them one by one. Use labels to organize your binders and divide them by subject, chapter or function. Examine all the old papers inside your folders and place them in the appropriate binder.
Part 2 of 2: Add only the essential items
Step 1. Make a list of what you need in your backpack
Include only what is strictly necessary.
Step 2. At this point, you may realize you need a larger backpack
If you don't have enough space, go buy a new backpack. Make sure the backpack you choose to buy has plenty of room, is solid, padded on the shoulder straps, and fits your build.
The bare essential concerns the essentials. Consider what you use most frequently
Step 3. Get the items on the list and put them in your backpack
-
The list should include all your books, homework assignments, pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, post-its, etc. Again, divide them by size, object or function.
Step 4. Buy a pencil case
So you will have a container for pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, post-its, calculator or various objects. It is small, inexpensive and collects all items in one place.
Step 5. Use the pockets of your backpack
Place heavier items, such as binders or books, in larger pockets. Put your notebooks, smaller textbooks or your pencil case in the medium-sized pockets. Use the outside pocket for miscellaneous items like handkerchiefs.
Step 6. Enjoy your clean backpack
