In the holy scripture Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna states:
Patram pushpam phalam toyam
yo me bhaktya prayacchati tad aham bhakty-upahritam
ashnami prayatatmanah"
"He who offers Me a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water with love and devotion, I will accept with all my heart." Hinduism as a religion brings together all kinds of people, whether they believe in a God with a form or without. It is believed that God can be reached through ritualized worship, meditation, or even by repeating sacred names aloud. Worship rituals can be complex, lasting up to several hours and include the recitation of mantras, offerings of Prasadam (sacred food) and Harati (waving lanterns), or they can be very simple and involve the offering of a simple leaf of Tulasi (holy basil) or Bael (for Shiva) and the offering of Prasadam. Worship rituals suffice for some, but others may be better off meditating or reciting his name. It goes without saying that any form of worship requires a pure and steadfast mind that is focused on God and the Dharma and rejects sin.
Steps
Step 1. Make sure you have all the necessary materials listed in the Things You Will Need section
Step 2. Purify yourself with a bath
As you bathe, say the names of the Lord. An ordinary bath only cleans us outwardly, but if in the meantime we recite the names of the Lord, our mind, body and soul are purified (trikarana shuddi).
Step 3. Draw a tilaka (urdhva pundra) or bhasma on your forehead
Step 4. Light the lantern and place akshata or flowers at the base
Step 5. Blow three times on the shell (shanka)
Making the shell ring is an auspicious gesture, it is an invitation to the divinity and chases away evil.
Step 6. Ring the bell (ghanta)
If you don't have a conch, you can also just ring the bell.
Step 7. An idol owner can perform the worship ritual in the prescribed manner
Those who do not have time or do not want to do it or have an image of divinity can do it mentally.
Step 8. Keep some water in a clean container
Step 9. Invite the deity to sit opposite you (aasana)
Step 10. Offer water to wash his sacred lotus feet (paadhya)
Step 11. Offer water to wash the sacred lotus hands of divinity (arghya)
Step 12. Offer water to quench the divinity (acamana)
Step 13. Undress the deity, or wrap it in a white cloth like a dhoti
Step 14. Wash the divinity by reciting mantras

Step 18. Fourth:
